When the play of a hole is completed, players shall move to the next tee
before marking their cards. The player with the honour shall play before
marking their card.

Players are responsible for repairing their own divot marks and bunker
marks and are encouraged to repair others. No one shall move, talk or stand
close to or directly behind the ball or hole when a player is addressing the
ball or making a stroke.
The lowest handicapped player in each group is responsible for the
observance of the rules of golf and etiquette. This does not however,
relieve all players of their responsibilities under the rules of golf.

Slow play is contagious - help to eliminate it.

Information for Course Care
Motorised Carts and Buggies –
     1. All motorised golf cart drivers must possess a current driver’s
license or have attained the age of 16.
     2. I agree to indemnify Parkes Golf Club Inc and all Directors,
Management and staff from any liability arising from the use of a
Motorised Cart by any persons authorised by me (express or
implied) that contravenes the provisions of this Policy. I further
agree that the use of my motorised cart (or a cart hired individually
or in a shared capacity) by any of my siblings who do not satisfy
Clause 1 above will be deemed to have been authorised by me.
     3. The vehicle must be operated from the driver’s side only.
     4. Motorised carts shall give way to course staff and machinery
         and walking golfers.
     5. To prevent possible serious injury, driver and passenger must keep
their entire bodies within the vehicle.
     6. To prevent falls from the vehicle, remain seated when the vehicle is
moving and hold onto handles or handrails at all times.
     7. Do not overload the vehicle and never have more passengers
than seats available (eg 1 bench seat = 1 driver and 1 passenger).
     8. To avoid possible injury to passengers, pedestrians, driver or
damage to other vehicles, avoid sudden starts, sudden stops and
abrupt turns. Also reduce speed in crowded areas/roads and for
          turning.
    9. To avoid the possibility of losing control of the vehicles, reduce
speed for adverse driving conditions such as wet grass or
          rough terrain.
    10. Do not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medications
that adversely affect your ability to drive or react.
    11. Keep to established paths whenever possible and endeavour to
follow directional signs where displayed unless a medical
          exemption is granted.
    12. Keep carts at least 5 metres from tees except when on a
formed path and 15 metres from all greens and greenside
          bunkers
    13. Park carts to the rear of greens or to the side leading to the next
tee, NEVER in front of greens. This will greatly assist the Pace of
          Play.
    14. If course conditions are wet, carts should only travel on the driest
and firmest parts of the golf course and should stay away from
critical golf areas as much as possible.
    15. 15. Please consider your fellow golfer and do not drive in the
vicinity of golfers who are putting or are about to strike the ball.
    16. No “hitting the skids”, wheelies or other course damaging driving.
    17. In order to protect the course and provide the best playing
for all golfers, the management committee has implemented the
          following:
          a) Members who breach the policy will receive a written warning.
          b) When a further breach of the policy occurs; the Member will be
subject to a ban from driving or riding in/on carts within the course
and grounds of the Club for a period of one (1) month or otherwise
at the complete discretion of the Match Committee or Board of
          Directors.
          c) Any subsequent breaches will require the member to meet with
the Match Committee to explain their actions. The Match
Committee may take further disciplinary action.
These are severe penalties, and it is hoped we will never have
to use them. So, enjoy your golf, enjoy your cart, but please
be very mindful of the welfare of yourself, others and the
          course when using a cart.

VOLUNTEERS
The Parkes Golf Club would like to thank all of the
Volunteers that provide much needed resources, energy
and work to ensure the PGC continues to provide a great
place to play and enjoy the game of golf.

A special mention is made of the Parkes Veterans
Golf Association & the Board of Directors for their
tireless endeavours on the course, clubhouse and
administration. Your efforts often go unrewarded,
however they are always noticed and appreciated and
without your continued support and direction, the PGC
would not be as great as it currently is
                      …THANKS!!
