                            Club, College of Marin, Point Blue (formerly the Point Reyes Bird Observatory), and
                            Seadrift Homeowners Association; plus 3 members appointed by the Board of
                            Supervisors as follows: 1 from the community of Bolinas, 1 from the community of
                            Stinson Beach and 1 At-Large rep. These 3 representatives should reside in Marin
                            County, but need not be county residents if a non-resident's expertise would be
                            beneficial to the council's work.

Qualifications:             General knowledge of Bolinas Lagoon and the ecological, recreational and economic
                            functions it serves, and of the lagoon’s relationship to the communities of
                            Bolinas and Stinson Beach. Ability to be an effective liaison between the County of
                            Marin and its residents regarding the restoration and management of Bolinas Lagoon.
                            Knowledge of efforts over the past decade to manage and restore Bolinas Lagoon is
                            preferred but not necessary.

                             the development of policies and strategies to meet the needs identified within those
                             priorities.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION:

Member Description:          Twenty member Commission; Ten appointed by Board of Supervisors, Ten appointed
                             by County Superintendent of Schools. Of ten appointees of Board and
                             Superintendent: two each designated for consumers of child care and development
                             services, two each child care service providers, twp each community reps., two each
                             public agency officials, two each At-Large appointments. Two At Large appointments
                             of the Board of Supervisors must be from (1) Marin City and (2) the Canal area of San
                             Rafael.

Qualifications:              No specific qualifications are necessary for appointment. However, state law requires
                             that the Local Planning Council be made up of child care consumers (20%), child care
                             providers (20%), community representatives (20%), public agency representatives
                             (20%), and discretionary (20%).

Reimbursement:               Consumer and provider representatives who are licensed family child care providers or
                             center-based teachers may receive a stipend per meeting. Additionally ,
                             Commissioners may receive reimbursement for necessary travel and other expenses.

MISSION STATEMENT:             The Local Task Force serves as an advisory board to the Marin County Hazardous
                               and Solid Waste Management Joint Powers Authority (JPA). The Local Task Force
                               provides viewpoints and concerns from different geographical, interest based and
                               industry associated members. Seats on the Task Force include public members from
                               different areas of the County, solid waste haulers/facility operators, special districts,
                               and members from environmental organizations. The Task Force specifically assists
                               in the review of the JPA's Integrated Waste Management Plan for all areas of Marin
                               County to help the County reach its zero waste goals.

MISSION STATEMENT:           This Board will serve as the Governing Board of a Public Authority, separate and apart

                             Supportive Services Program (IHSS), subject to all applicable federal and state laws

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION:

Member Description:         The Authority Board of the In-Home Supportive Services Authority for the County of
                            Marin shall be composed of at least seven (7) and no more than eleven (11) member
                            appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
                            50 percent or less of the membership shall be selected at-large.
                            50 percent or more of the membership shall be individuals who are current or past
                            consumers of personal assistance services paid for through public or private funds or
                            through IHSS.

Qualifications:             Qualified applicants must reside in Marin County and have familiarity with, or
                            knowledge of, personal assistance services; or reside in a surrounding county and
                            have experience with the population served by the In-Home Supportive Services
                            program in Marin County; No fewer than 50% of the Governing Board must be IHSS
                            consumers.
