alcohol and drug problems; encourage support throughout the County for development
and implementation of effective alcohol and drug programs; to network with other

ensure citizen and professional involvement at all stages of the planning process

and Chapter 19.23 of Marin County Code.

nationally-recognized professional organization, a property appraiser certified by the
office of Real Estate Appraisers, or property appraiser certified by the State Board of
Equalization. No person shall be qualified for appointment who has, within the three
years immediately preceding his or her appointment to that board, been an employee
of an assessor's office. Notwithstanding the above, a person shall be eligible for
nomination for membership on an assessment appeals board if, at the time of the
nomination, he or she is a current member of an assessment appeals board.
Documentation of qualifying experience of appeals board members shall be filed with
the Clerk of the Board.
Reimbursement: $262.50 each per diem per meeting is authorized.

Member Description: Twelve members as follows: A representative selected by each of the following:
Marin County Parks, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Gulf of the Farallones
National Marine Sanctuary and Pt. Reyes National Seashore; a representative
nominated by each of the following: Audubon Canyon Ranch, Bolinas Rod & Boat
Club, College of Marin, Point Blue (formerly the Point Reyes Bird Observatory), and
Seadrift Homeowners Association; plus 3 members appointed by the Board of
Supervisors as follows: 1 from the community of Bolinas, 1 from the community of
Stinson Beach and 1 At-Large rep. These 3 representatives should reside in Marin
County, but need not be county residents if a non-resident's expertise would be
beneficial to the council's work.
Qualifications: General knowledge of Bolinas Lagoon and the ecological, recreational and economic
functions it serves, and of the lagoon’s relationship to the communities of
Bolinas and Stinson Beach. Ability to be an effective liaison between the County of
Marin and its residents regarding the restoration and management of Bolinas Lagoon.
Knowledge of efforts over the past decade to manage and restore Bolinas Lagoon is
preferred but not necessary.

MISSION STATEMENT: The Marin County Child Care Commission's mission is to lead and support countywide
plans and advocacy efforts to ensure access to high quality early care and education
services. As the Local Child Care and Development Planning Council, the
Commission provides a forum for the identification of local priorities for child care and
the development of policies and strategies to meet the needs identified within those
priorities.
MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION:
Member Description: Twenty member Commission; Ten appointed by Board of Supervisors, Ten appointed
by County Superintendent of Schools. Of ten appointees of Board and
Superintendent: two each designated for consumers of child care and development
services, two each child care service providers, twp each community reps., two each
public agency officials, two each At-Large appointments. Two At Large appointments
of the Board of Supervisors must be from (1) Marin City and (2) the Canal area of San
Rafael.
Qualifications: No specific qualifications are necessary for appointment. However, state law requires
that the Local Planning Council be made up of child care consumers (20%), child care
providers (20%), community representatives (20%), public agency representatives
(20%), and discretionary (20%).
Reimbursement: Consumer and provider representatives who are licensed family child care providers or
center-based teachers may receive a stipend per meeting. Additionally ,
Commissioners may receive reimbursement for necessary travel and other expenses.

Qualifications: According to the Older Americans Act, membership shall be composed of: (a) a
majority of persons 60 years or older; (b) service providers; (c) members who reflect
the geographic, racial, economic, and social complexion of the area they represent;

MISSION STATEMENT: This Board will serve as the Governing Board of a Public Authority, separate and apart
from the County of Marin, whose powers are derived from and consistent with the
provisions of Welfare and Institutions Code Section 12301.6, as may be amended from
time-to-time. The Public Authority is to provide for the delivery of the In-Home
Supportive Services Program (IHSS), subject to all applicable federal and state laws
and regulations and the limitations set forth in the adopting ordinance.
12/06/2021MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION:
Member Description: The Authority Board of the In-Home Supportive Services Authority for the County of
Marin shall be composed of at least seven (7) and no more than eleven (11) member
appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
50 percent or less of the membership shall be selected at-large.
50 percent or more of the membership shall be individuals who are current or past
consumers of personal assistance services paid for through public or private funds or
through IHSS.
Qualifications: Qualified applicants must reside in Marin County and have familiarity with, or
knowledge of, personal assistance services; or reside in a surrounding county and
have experience with the population served by the In-Home Supportive Services
program in Marin County; No fewer than 50% of the Governing Board must be IHSS
consumers.
