PROCESS
Since its foundation, LAFUMA MOBILIER has had the aim of bringing together Man and Nature, through
outdoor leisure activities and relaxation.
The company has been able to make progress in respect of this ethic and the environment by adopting a «more
with less» way of manufacturing: lower consumption of energy and materials, more durability, resistance and
technical features. Eco-design is, as ever, at the heart of the brand’s development.
SOURCING:
• A choice of recyclable and recycled materials: powder-coated paint, steel, aluminium, cardboard,paper...
• Proximity: the majority of materials are sourced less than 150 km from the factory.
• 98% of purchases from Europe, 68% from France.
PRODUCTION & DISTRIBUTION:
• Designing products without unnecessary materials: a minimal amount of materials for a maximum lifespan
of the product.
• Reducing volume and weight of products, compact packaging.
• Unique logistics centre 5km from the factory: optimised transportation.

HLE steel
All the steel we use is HLE, High Limit Elasticity, which guarantees greater strength by maintaining LAFUMA
MOBILIER’s comfort and flexibility. These mechanical characteristics also allow for the creation of original products
with an excellent quality-price ratio.
Galvanised HLE steel
Additional protection against steel corrosion.
Aluminium
Aluminium is very light and naturally resistant to corrosion, and this is why we use it in particular for portable and
seaside furniture.
PAINT French origin
We use powder paint (polyester paint). It is resistant to UV rays and bad weather, and undergoes standard baking,
hardness and corrosion-resistance tests. This coating is 7 to 10 times more resistant than conventional paints.
Our process is optimised to use a minimum amount of product with continuous recycling. The very low amount of
waste is also recycled and reused in the plastics industry (eg. Car-making, telephone communications, toys etc.).

Very resistant to UV rays and bad weather, Serge Ferrari Batyline® has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. In addition
to the Batyline® ISO qualities, with a 1/1 weave, the DUO has a stylish look and is stronger thanks to the 2/1 weave.

The LAFUMA MOBILIER Relax’s secret:
It was designed to offer THE perfect relaxation position. The design has been developed in collaboration with the medical
profession whose main recommendation was to achieve a position in which the legs are elevated slightly above the heart.
This position is called ZERO GRAVITY, as it corresponds to that which the human body naturally takes when weightless,
with the legs and the torso forming an angle of 127°.
