We are Coyote Strong! March 26, 2021
Please register your child online through the SKYWARD parent portal. If you are
having trouble logging in or completing this process, please contact the school office
via phone or email Dawn Rau.
ANNUAL RESIDENCY VERIFICATION
If you have moved you will need to contact the office and complete a new residency
verification form and submit the required documentation to prove your residency.
Families that rent or are hosted are required to complete residency paperwork
annually. Residency verification for the 2021-2022 school year will begin on May 1st.
Important NOTE: Verification of Residency is due August 1st. Students who have not
completed the residency paperwork by the start of school will be excluded.
International Travel Over Spring Break
As the spring break approaches we know that some families
plan to travel internationally. As a district we require any
unvaccinated individuals to get tested 3-5 days after travel
and stay home to self-quarantine for seven days after
travel. If you choose to not get tested, it’s safest to stay
home to self-quarantine for 10 days. Please reach out to
your building administrator if you are traveling
internationally so they can notify the student's teacher.

Absences: If your child is going to be absent from class (remote or in person) please notify
the office staff, the core teacher and the special teachers. With attendance being taken
more than once a day it is important that all parties are aware when a student will be
marked absent.
Dismissal: If your child is going to have a change in their usual routine of transportation
home, please send an email to your child’s teacher and the office staff. Be sure to include
the child’s first and last name in the email. Teachers may not have time to check their
email before dismissal, we ask that all changes be made through the
office to ensure the students’ safe delivery home. All emails should be
sent first thing in the morning.
Reminder: All pre-certification forms should be filled out completely.
Please see an example at the link provided.
If you will be dropping off or picking up your student, please scan the

Dear PV Families,
Specials teachers are excited to be with your students in person in April! For those students that
return back to school for in person instruction, we ask that you bring some things back to school
with you. Below is a list of items that you should have your child bring back to school. These items
will stay with students and are not communal supplies.
Art:
*Please note that some of these supplies may already be in your student’s desk or bin at school
already. Check with your student for what is needed at school.
Kindergarten through 5th Grade:
• Sketchbook
• Crayons or Colored Pencils
• Markers
• Watercolor Paint Palette with Paintbrush
• 1 Black Sharpie Marker
• Glue Stick (2)
• Scissors
• Oil Pastels (optional)
Music:
Kindergarten through 5th Grade:
• Instruments should be stored in a gallon-sized plastic bag with your child’s name on it.
o Rhythm Sticks
o Shaker
2nd through 5th Grade:
• Headphones or Earbuds (can be stored with instruments)
If your child has misplaced his or her instruments, please send him or her to school with a
reasonable replacement. For example, rhythm sticks could be replaced by short wooden dowels,
unsharpened pencils, or something similar. Shakers could be replaced by a sealed plastic egg filled
with beads, beans, rice, or small pasta. Please watch this video on how to make a shaker at home.
PE:
Kindergarten through 5th Grade:
• Gym shoes
On days students have PE, please make sure students are dressed appropriately for going outside.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you!

pvyearbookmail@gmail.comHave you added Smile to your Amazon app?
You can now support your favorite charity on iPhone & Android phones
If you are like me, your Amazon mobile app gets a lot of love. But what I didn’t realize, until recently, is that I was NOT contributing to AmazonSmile with my Amazon
mobile app purchases...EEK!
To update your Amazon mobile app so you get AmazonSmile credit for each eligible purchase you:
1. Download or update to the latest version of the Amazon Shopping app on your phone. You can find it in the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android.
2. If you have not done so already, register for a Smile account (under "pick your own charitable organization" search " Prairie View Grade School PTO").
3. Open the app and find ’Settings’ in the main menu (☰).
4. Under ‘Settings’ tap on ‘AmazonSmile’.
5. Tap the button for “Turn on AmazonSmile” (you’ll need to follow the three-step setup process, note that Amazon requires you to turn on notifications to
be able to use AmazonSmile on your phone).
You can also click here https://smile.amazon.com/ch/20-3648166 to go directly to smile.amazon.com in support of Prairie View so you don’t have to search
for our charity among almost a million other organizations.
