The Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Scottish SPCA) is Scotland’s
animal welfare charity. We receive no government funding and rely on public donations to
continue vital work rescuing, rehabilitating, rehoming and releasing Scotland’s animals.
Our Partnership
We’ve teamed up with Robo Wunderkind, an Austrian edtech company, and will be introducing
Caitlyn the chicken, Oscar the owl, Rhu the rabbit and Campbell the cat to schools across Scotland.
Robo Wunderkind are the developers of the world’s easiest and most intuitive modular robotics
kit and software platform that helps children understand the fundamentals of coding and
engineering. They provide a solid educational approach to robotics and coding that has enabled
schools in 15 countries to successfully implement the STEM curriculum into their classrooms.

beliefs that animals have feelings. This leads to more compassionate and empathetic
behaviours towards animals and in turn towards others in the community.P1-3 can take part in a FREE informal chat or use our new resource pack... Building robotic animals and coding them to move and make sounds is a unique way to encourage children to recognise that live animals are actually born with these ‘in-built’ sensors. It is also important we are aware of their senses when interacting with them, not only through rehabilitation at the Scottish SPCA but also in our homes and communities. S3 and S4 can participate in the following FREE workshop... Animal Advocates (S3 and S4) Pupils are given the opportunity to investigate and analyse a real Scottish SPCA case.
