AN ISLAND AT THE EDGE
of the WORLD
THE EXPEDITION EXPERIENCE
We explore remote locations on the Tasmanian coast that are hard to get to
or rarely seen by tourists. The perspective of travelling by sea provides an
invigorating experience of this rugged and striking coastline.
Our shore excursions are designed to promote environmental and cultural
appreciation and learning, and our small group size ensures that your
experience is personal, with minimal impact on the environments we visit.
We aim to provide one or two activities or excursions each day, all included
in your cruise fare. Expedition leaders and lecturers who are experts in the
region accompany every voyage, providing commentary on culture, geology,
conservation, history, and the region’s unique plants and wildlife to help you
connect with this special place.A pristine coastline
TASMANIA
Australia’s island state is poised at the edge of the world.
From its green coast, the Great Southern Ocean stretches
uninterrupted until it breaks on the shores of Antarctica. But
here in Tasmania, rugged mountains and impenetrable forests
lead to coastlines of soaring cliffs, pastoral farmlands, and
islands teeming with native wildlife. Clear, crisp air and warm
summers nurture a bountiful variety of fresh produce, cheeses,
wine, and spirits, and history from ancient to colonial times is
present around each corner.
AN ADVENTURE BY SEA
Our expedition cruise over seven nights explores the incredible of exploration. From the ship, gaze up at 300 metre high sea
south-east region in the summer months. From the sea, enjoy easy cliffs, watch marine life frolic close by, and easily go ashore on
access to National Parks and World Heritage Areas, led by our remote beaches. Along the way, taste an outstanding menu of

history of Maria Island, Bruny Island, and Port Arthur over days experience of this remarkable island.
