Message from the Desk of the Principal…
First of all, I am very glad to let you know that I feel myself as the luckiest one to be
a part of the “STEPS ACADEMY KRISHNAI” a junior college of Science, Arts & Commerce
run by the "Steps Education Society", Krishnai. It is also a good news for the people of
Krishnai that a junior college is established at Krishnai. At present, it is seemed to be a
“Sapling” which is planted by some young and very laborious youth. Now it is also your (the
entire people of Krishnai) responsibility to look after it and make it a full-grown tree. Being
a principal, I have been bestowed upon a very hard task and responsibility to uplift this
institution to its zenith and therefore I take an oath to try my utmost best to make it a
successful one and fulfill its dream. I assure that this education group provides students
with a wide array of learning abilities, an environment where they can learn. Infine, I wish
a very bright and prosperous future of “STEPS ACADEMY KRISHNAI”.

Message from the Desk of the Vice-Principal…
I am privileged and proud to be part of STEPS ACADEMY
KRISHNAI. As a Vice-Principal of this junior college, I render my
support and guidance to the teachers, in their career and
professional development. Our main focus is to provide the
best education and to prepare the students for their rewarding
careers. Today we are living in a fast changing complex society,
which presents before us challenges as well as opportunities.
In this context it all depends on every individuals how one
responds to the situation with the right mindset. I remember
the words of Benjamin Disraeli, "Nurture your mind with great
thoughts, to be better human persons, to build a better
society". I firmly believe that every human being endowed with
various talents and skills is a precious gift of God. The institute Miss Mahsina Ahmed,
is blessed with highly qualified and trained band of faculties M.Sc., B.Ed., D.El.Ed
who come with experience in the particular field. At the very
last, we assure you of our best attention and care for the
students to achieve their goal.

and beyond flock to this institution. Through our continuous
endeavors ensuring quality education, we are able to instil in the
students a great zeal for success, positive attitudes and a great
deal of love for the nation and state. Today I am proud to be the
manager of this institution which has carved a niche of its own

M.Tech, B.Tech, PGDCA to any private tuition. It takes utmost care that students are not
trapped in drug abuse, alcohol etc. Scholarships are provided to
the students who are meritorious but financially needy. All these
clubbed with devoted efforts of our teachers & staffs are

Steps Academy Krishnai, A Jr. College of Science, Arts & Commerce founded in the year 2020, stands true to its motto - "Education,
Development and Progress" along with a long-cherished desire to impart quality education. Primarily the college was started as a
coaching institute named Steps Education Krishnai in 2014. It is worthwhile to mention that the academy achieved immense
response from the society and later on it was decided to give birth to a junior college named Steps Academy Krishnai, comprising of
Science, Arts and Commerce stream, in the year 2020.
The institute is an initiative of Steps Education Society, Krishnai to develop Krishnai educationally forward with an objective to
provide quality education with modern infrastructure having digital classrooms, standard science laboratory, library and Computer
laboratory for the students to provide authentic learning in Science, Arts & Commerce.
Our main aim is to make the students able to understand the topics of each subject very well without any confusion and doubt so
that they can acquire the knowledge of each subject clearly.
Objectives of the Institution
The term "Quality Education" comprises 'the wider of sense' of education. In response to this view, the emphasis is desired to
be laid on the following –
1) To enable the students to understand the basic concept of core subjects.
2) To equip and guide the students to apply the basic concept acquired from knowledge through intensive and extensive coaching
in each subject by permanent and qualified faculties and thereby enabling the student to prepare for the all India level
competitive examinations such as JEE, NEET, CEE etc. with a different approach under present educational scenario.
3) To enable the students to acquire the skill of problem analysis in an examination environment and to ensure their optimum
all round performance.
4) Regular interaction with guardians by the management for monitoring the student and faculty relationship in the best interest
of the student.
5) The committed and qualified faculty working on a permanent basis will conduct periodical tests to help the students to be
mentally alert and emotionally balanced to face the toughest of all entrance examinations with confidence in future.
6) To provide moral education with a view of preparing the students to face real life situations.

The Steps Academy is established in the year 2020, preparing to start intake of students from the session 2020-2021
in Science, Arts and Commerce faculty. It is run by "Steps Education Society", a non-government organization
(Registered under societies Registration Act 1860, bearing registration No. RFS-RS/2020/00008 of 2019-20).

Library & laboratory Facility
A well standard library currently with more than 500 books is available in the library and a well-equipped modern
Computer Science Laboratory and Science Laboratory is there for the practical classes.Eligibility Criteria
The minimum marks required for getting admission is as follows:
Science Stream: 55% marks in class 10th Board Exam.
Commerce Stream: 45% marks in class 10th Board Exam.
Arts Stream: 40% marks in class 10th Board Exam.

For successful completion of HS course, a student must take five subjects (English is compulsory for all streams); in addition, a student
can select one subject as fourth subject. The following are the Subject Combinations that we offer:

Admission
The admission will be given on merit basis only. The college authority reserves the right of admission where seat is limited.
1. Students seeking admission to the college shall have to apply in prescribed from available with the prospectus or can be downloaded
from the official website www.sakgoalpara.in or can apply directly for online admission from the official website.
2. The completely filled-up forms must be submitted to the college office on or before the date as notified by the college authority.
Curriculum and Medium
Apart from following all the instructions and directives of the AHSEC, the objective of Steps Academy Krishnai, is to endeavour for the
upliftment of the students and instill in them the ability to cope with the complexities of the modern world. We strictly follow the AHSEC
syllabus. The medium of instruction is both in English & Assamese for all the streams.

The College aims at providing education with high moral values to the students who are committed to hard work. The
students are expected to maintain strict discipline and order in and out of the campus .In furtherance of its commitment to
an environment of honesty fairness and mutual respect, the college takes serious cognizance of acts of academic /
professional misconduct that include cheating on academic exercises, misrepresentation etc. They should be sincerely
devoted to their studies and should not waste time unnecessarily. All the students will have to abide by the rules and
regulations framed by the college. Students found guilty will have to face penal action viz: cancellation of admission or
expulsion from the College.
All the students are to follow the below mentioned rules and regulations strictly in the institution.
1. 100% attendance is compulsory except when there are serious medical problems. Students not found satisfactory in this
criterion may not be allowed to appear in the final examination.
2. No students are allowed to engage in private tuition.
3. Mobile phones, Bikes are strictly prohibited for students. If any student is found with mobile phones & Bikes in the college
campus (even outside in College uniform), he/she will be fined Rs. 500 and the mobile phones & Bikes will be confiscated.
4. The identity card issued by the college authority is a document of the student which has to be renewed in each calendar
year. The entry into the institute without the identity card is not permitted. If the identity card of a student is lost/misplaced,
the institute will issue a duplicate I-card against the payment of Rs. 100/- .
5. If a student is absent for more than 15 consecutive days without any prior written application, he/she may be expelled
from the Institute. No separate intimation will be sent to the parents. No fees or part of the fees paid will be refunded in
such cases. The decision of the Principal in this regard will be final and binding on the students and parents.
6. Students, found absent, in any examination conducted by the college might be fined Rs. 500/- except on medical grounds.
7. If a student stays away from classes on any particular day(s) he/she must come on the following day with a letter of
endorsement from the parents/ guardian explaining the reason for absence.
8. During college hours the students are strictly prohibited from leaving the college campus.
9. The late enrollment has to pay the total amount of fees required at the time of admission.
10. No transfer certificate will be issued until all the dues of the college are paid in full for the Two Years.
11. No student is allowed to attend classes without uniform.
12. If any student damages the college property intentionally he will have to bear the expenses for the repair work. The
authority may take legal action against him/her.
13. Students are not allowed to go outside during class hours even with their family, without informing the college authority.
14. If students fail to get desirable marks in their respective subjects in the college examination they have to attend the
remedial classes later on.
15. No religious functions are allowed to be celebrated in the college campus.
16. The students who are enrolled in the institute will have to work hard regularly. If the teachers feel that a student is not
working hard, creating indiscipline in the institute and is irregular, he/she may be expelled from the institute. The decision
of the Principal in this regard will be final and binding on the student. No fee or part of the fee will be refunded in such cases.
17. After completing the process of registration, if a student becomes disinterested in the institute due to any reason
whatsoever and wants to take his/her money back, the institute will not refund the money deposited for
registration/admission.
18. Students are not allowed to change their subjects after 30 days from the date of admission. Post 30 days they have to
bring written permission from the Council to change their subjects.
19. Parents can meet the Principal for any enquiry about their ward's progress or any other problem concerning their wards
with prior appointment only.
20. Any change of address should be notified in writing to the office within 7 to 10 days.
21. A student who is late by 10 minutes for classes / test, will not be allowed to enter the classroom.
22. In case any parent/guardian misbehaves with any staff member of the institute his / her ward can be rusticated from the
institute and no request for readmission of such a student will be entertained. The decision of the Principal will be final and
binding on the student and parent/guardian.
23. The academic sessions starts from the month of June of the year to the month of May of the next year. Students must
pay the fees for the whole academic session.
24. If any mishap occurs in the premises of Steps Academy Krishnai, due to natural calamity of any type viz: earthquake,
floods, fire, electric short circuit etc., the institute will not be responsible in any manner whatsoever.Fee Structure

Hostel Rules and Regulations
1. Boarders will not be allowed to come out of the Hostels before 8:00 AM & after 6:00 PM
2. Smoking, use of tobacco, pan, alcohol, drugs etc. or possession of any of it is strictly prohibited.
3. Mobile phones, electric heaters, iron, laptops are strictly prohibited for students.
4. Entrance of females to boys’ hostel and males to girls’ hostel is strictly prohibited.
5. There will be no concession of mess dues for absence of boarders at the hostel.
6. Breaking of rules and if any illegal activity is involved by any boarder, disciplinary action will be initiated against him as
deemed fit. Decision of the authority of the college will be final in all matters.
7. Without the prior permission from the warden and writing from the parents no student is allowed to leave the hostels.
8. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the hostels.
9. Hostel Visiting Hours for the parents: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM only after the prior approval from the warden.
10. No petition for refund of money will be established in case of a boarder leaving or being ordered to leave the hostel before
the end of the academic session.
