Restart 2020 Guiding Principles

 ● The health and safety of our students, staff and community is our highest
   priority.
 ● It is essential to support the social, emotional, and mental health well being of
   our students and staff.
 ● Restoring in-person learning to the greatest extent possible, while adhering to
county and state health guidelines is our goal.
 ● In anticipation of a return to distance learning for periods of time during the
2020-2021 school year, we will leverage our learning from the experience in
   spring 2020.
 ● Families will have choice regarding their student’s return to school with a
   viable online option available.
 ● Equity and access for all students and families is essential.

Reduced Ridership--What to expect?
 ● 22-30 students on the bus; siblings may ride together; students assigned seats
 ● Opt-In/Opt-Out form sent to parents
 ● Ridership based on students who use free and reduced program and students that are furthest away
 ● Returning to stops; may need to in certain areas, will be determined based on need and ability to do so
 ● Will not be able to approve Space Available requests

Increased School Traffic
 ● Anticipate 100+ parent vehicles over the norm
 ● Creating alternate stop locations for pick-up/drop-off at schools (not including HS); stops will not be utilized without

     increase crossing guards

Increased Safety/Cleaning Measures

      ○ Identify staff members to reunite students with parents if they are leaving early for the day
      ○ Due to mask requirements/mandates, ensure all staff badges are worn and visible
● Access Control
      ○ Multiple entrances will be utilized, for ingress and egress and will be staffed accordingly
      ○ One-way traffic will be implemented and utilized wherever possible
      ○ Additional doors with card readers will be placed on schedules (similar to main entrances)
      ○ Camera coverage will be adjusted if needed to help supplement additional access points

      ○ Lockdown drills and tornado drills will be conducted through video training and staff engagement
