RETAILER UPDATE | January 2021
Overview
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, both busy at work and joyful at home. It’s a
wonderful, but tiring time of the year and we witnessed all the hard work that our retailers put
in to make this one of the most successful Christmas periods that Casuarina Square has seen.

We had thousands of customers through the doors, with foot traffic up on December 2019 and
record breaking sales for many stores. While some national tenants tracked as their number one
store in the country, other retailers had Boxing Day records and customers lined up at the doors.

We are pleased to have seen continued growth in specialty sales for the second half of 2020 and
look forward to what we hope will be a stable and busy 2021. We expect to confirm and
announce 5 new retailers opening in the first half of this year, and many more to come.

Despite our fortunate situation in the Northern Territory, Covid-19 is still very relevant and will
continue to have an impact on visitors to and from Darwin as well as other challenges which the
pandemic has bought. Please ensure you have downloaded the Territory Safe App QR code and
displayed it, if relevant to your business. A reminder that there are no longer occupancy limits
required from the NT Health Department, but that social distancing is recommended.

Ensure that your Covid Safety Plan has been updated and that you have a Covid safety officer

2021 Public Holidays
Core trading hours for public holidays are 10am to 3pm. Exceptions to this are Christmas Day,
Good Friday and Anzac Day when the centre is closed and Majors trade independent hours.

Operations
The Quarter | Trower Rd Entrance
Effective Monday 18 January 2020, the entrance to The Quarter directly off Trower Road will
be closed from 6pm through to the following morning when the centre re opens. This is being
conducted on a trial basis. Should you have any concerns, please email us on
casoperations@gpt.com.au.

Waste Handling Procedures
In an effort to curb ongoing issues with waste being left around at times, please ensure you
adhere to the following procedures:

    •   If there is cardboard or other waste lying in the area, please do not assume that the
        compactor is not working. Please ensure you dispose of it.
    •   If there is a problem with the compactor, please ensure you text the sms line on display
        at the waste area and report the matter immediately. Please take your waste and
        dispose if it later when the situation has been resolved.
    •   Should you have any queries or suggestions around waste handling, please email
        casoperations@gpt.com.au

Be Happy Festival
Date: Saturday, 27 February 2021 |Time: 9am to 5pm
Details: For the second year running, Casuarina Square will be hosting the Be Happy Festival,
an event focused on all things health, wellness and fitness.

The festival is a family friendly event and will include a mix of both retailer and external pop-up
activations as well as entertainment. If you would like to be involved in the Be Happy Festival,

Retail Runner Delivery is here!
YOU SHOP IT, WE DROP IT!
Retail Runner lets your customers order online from their favourite food retailers at Casuarina
Square. Customers can choose to collect their meal from the counter, have it delivered to their
car via Casuarina Square Drive Thru, or have it delivered to their home for free!

Only available with minimum spend of $30 and
within a 10km radius of Casuarina Square.
1. Customers choose a food retailer from the
list online, click to place their Delivery order
online and make their secure payment.
2. A Door Dash Driver will collect the order from
the retailer and deliver it to the customers
