Dear Coaches,

On behalf of the TF Hawk American Legion program we want to welcome you and your
team to Twin Falls, ID. With the sheer amount of competing tournaments this time of
year we are excited that you picked us. We hope that you have a great experience!

In this packet you will find the following:

   -    Tournament Rules
   -   Tournament Schedules
   -   Tournament play off/bracket schedule
   -   Directions to the fields
   -   List of contact information for the tournament

Our kick-off date will be Friday, June 25 and we will play through Saturday, June 26. On
the Idaho Central Legacy Fields campus we will have concessions of some sort available
for teams/fans to purchase throughout the day. (food vendors schedule will be on the
tournament page.) We will have a field coordinator at each 4 plex/3plex. The Pepsi

2021 Ridge Rumble Rules
                                      9u, 10u, 11u70 & 12u70

   1. Teams: A total of 15 players (max) on the roster. A roster complete with birthdates is provided
      with the registration form prior to the tournament. Birth certificates must be furnished upon
      request to the Tournament Director. Player’s ages are based on their ages as of April 30th, 2021.
   2. 2021 Cal Ripken Official Regulations and Play Rules will over the conduct and operation of the
      tournament with the exceptions listed below:
   3. Home team determination: A coin toss before game time will determine the home team. The
      team that traveled the farthest to Twin Falls will call the toss. Higher seed will be the home team
      in bracket play. Home team will be responsible to keep the official book.
   4. Visit to the mound: A second visit to the mound per pitcher, at any time during the game,
      constitutes removing the pitcher from the game as a pitcher only.
   5. Bat rules: Bat Rule – 12U and younger. All bats -5 or greater must be stamped USA Baseball or USSSA
       BPF 1.15. Must be a baseball bat – no restriction on weight or length as long as bat has “BPF 1.15” stamp.
       The following bats may not be used in this event: 2017 CF Zen Balanced (-8) 2017 CF Zen SL 2 3/4" (-
       10) 2017 CF Zen Zero Dark 2 3/4" (-10) Custom 2017 CF Zen 2 3/4" (-10) Custom 2017 CF Zen Balanced (-
       8) *If one of these bats has been retooled and has an orange cap, it is deemed permissible for play.
   6. Time limits:
      - Six inning games. No new inning will be started after 1 hour and 30 mins of play. Due to
         constraints on field prep we will have a drop dead time at 1 hour and 50 mins of play. If an
         inning isn’t complete the score will revert to the previous inning’s score. No drop dead time
         in bracket play.
      - 10 or more run rule will be in affect after 5 innings of play or 15 or more after 4 innings of
         play.
      - Extra-inning games will NOT be played to decide a winner, except in bracket play.
      - Championship games will go 6 full innings regardless of time unless run rule is in effect.
   7. Pitching: Pitcher may pitch no more than three (3) innings in a game and no more than 9 innings for the
       tournament. Delivery of a single pitch to a batter constitutes having pitched an inning. Each coach must
       have a copy of the pitching affidavit and it must be signed by the opposing team’s manager upon
       completion of the game. Failure to provide the document for the previous game will result in a forfeit.
   8. Delay of game: Each team will have a 10 min grace period prior to forfeiture, unless preceding
       games necessitate delay. Teams must field 8 players from their roster during the entire game.
       Failure to do so will result in forfeit.
   9. Pre-game Warm ups: No infield will be taken prior to any game. Ground balls in front of dugout
       are OK.
   10. Base Runners: as per Cal Ripken rules, runners cannot leave the base until the ball reaches the
       plate in 9u and 10u divisions. 11u70 and 12u70 may lead off and steal as they see fit.
   11. Player/Coach on the field: For the batting team, the batboy is allowed on the field to retrieve
       the bat and MUST wear a helmet at all times. All other players, except for the batter and on deck

batter, MUST remain in the dugout. Coaches are welcome to sit on buckets in the area
       immediately outside of their dugout. Each team will be allowed no more than 4 coaches in the
       dugout.
   12. Misc. Rules:
       - Extra hitters: A team may, but is not required, to bat the entire lineup. Batting the entire line
           up will allow for free substitution.
       - Infield fly rule is in effect.
       - Molded cleats only
       - The dropped 3rd strike rule is NOT in effect for 9u and 10u, you cannot advance to first on a
           dropped third strike.
       - 11u 70 and 12u70 dropped 3rd strike IS in effect.
       - Slide rule, as defined by Cal Ripken Rule Book, will be in effect at all times for the safety of
           the players.
       - Blood rule: No players will be allowed to play with an open bleeding wound.
   13. Protests: All protests must be filed with the home plate umpire. Judgment decisions are final
       and NOT eligible for protest. The protest/rules committee will be comprised of the umpire in
       charge, tournament directors, and the play umpire on the field.
   14. Tiebreakers/seeding determination: As follows
       - Record in pool play
       - Head to head competition
       - Least number of runs allowed during pool play
       - Run differential based on pool play
       - Greatest number of runs scored during pool play
       - Coin flip. Winner gets lowest seed number.
   15. Zero Tolerance Policy: Any coach, player or fan demonstrating rude, abusive or harassing
       behavior toward an umpire or other official will be removed from the premises immediately. A
       repeat offense by any team will result in removal of that team from the tournament, and
       forfeiture of all remaining games.

       bat.

       from the game and serve an additional game suspension.

       - Ejection: If an individual is ejected (coach, player, fan) they are to leave the premises for the
          remainder of the tournament.

Follow I-84 E to US-93 S in Jerome County. Take exit 173 from I-84 E
Follow US-93 S turn left on hwy 30 heading towards twin falls
Merge to the furthest left lane and turn left on Peterson Rd
Follow the American flags to the fields

From I-84 traveling west.
I-84 W ID-50 S in Jerome County.
Take exit 182 from I-84 W
Follow ID-50 until it turns into Addison
Turn right onto Peterson Rd
Follow the American flags to the fields
