Summer Recipe
  Indian Spiced Beefy Lettuce Wraps
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef                     Direc ons
1 medium onion, finely chopped           In a large skillet, cook beef, onion and garlic
2 garlic cloves, minced                 over medium heat un.l beef is no longer pink
1/3 cup mango chutney                   and onion is tender, 6-8 minutes, breaking up
2 tablespoons soy sauce                 beef into crumbles; drain. S.r in chutney, soy
1 teaspoon garam masala                 sauce and garam marsala; heat through. Add

neighbors yard.
What to bring: Sunscreen, a hat, lawn chair, mask,
and a good a>tude. We will provide coolers of bo&led
water and the City of NRH will provide tools to work
with. But you can bring your favorite tool if you like.

• Saturday, August 1 - GPS to NRH2O Water Park. Meet us at the park. You are
  responsible for your won admission into the park. Your children are welcome to
  come. We will stake out a spot in the covered area to meet/eat when we are not in
  the water.
• Sunday, August 9 - Annual NRHBC Leadership Camp. We will meet from 4-8
  with a light meal together.
• Sunday, August 23 - Deadline to register and pay for Kids Night Out Friday
  Childcare. Register in the CMB. $4 per child with a $5 family max.
• Friday, August 28 - Kids Night Out Friday Childcare (if you registered and paid in
  advance).

September 2020
• Sunday, September 6 - Church-wide “Financial Peace University” begins.
• Monday, September 7 - Labor Day Observed.
• Sunday September 13 - Deadline to register and pay for Kids Night Out Friday
  Childcare. Register in the CMB. $4 per child or $7 family max.
• Friday, September 18 - Kids Night Out Friday Childcare (if you registered and
  paid in advance).

October 2020
• Sunday, October 11 - Deadline to register and pay for Kids Night Out Friday
  Childcare. Register in the CMB. $4 per child or $7 family max.
• Friday, October 16 - Kids Night Out Friday Childcare (if you registered and paid
  in advance).
• Sunday, October 19 - Quarterly Food Drive Collection! GPS will collect Food
  Drive Donations from 7:45 until Noon and take them to room 107 where our
  Pantry volunteers will sort and stock the donations/food.

November 2020
• Sunday, November 8 - Deadline to register and pay for Kids Night Out Friday
  Childcare. Register in the CMB. $4 per child or $7 family max.
• Friday, November 13 - Kids Night Out Friday Childcare (if you registered and
  paid in advance).

Dates and Information

August 2020
•   Sundays through September 6—Collection Baskets in the Ministry Gallery! NRHBC is
    blessing teachers in our community with a snack-basket and a note of encouragement.
    Bring pre-packaged snacks and donate them in the Ministry Gallery. This is in preparation
    for our church-wide Prayer-initiative in September specifically for schools.

September 2020
•   Wednesday, September 2—Students Lip Sync Battle, 6:30 in the Gym.
•   Thursday, September 3—Haltom HS Football Team Dinner, 5:30 in S240 Café.
•   Sunday, September 6—Prayer for Teachers, Students and their families! Prayer and
    recognition of school teachers in each Worship Service. Our church will bring pre-packaged
    snacks to be delivered to the teachers lounge at local schools. There will be baskets in the
    Ministry Gallery through 9/6. Staff will coordinate delivery of the snacks after 9/6.
    There will be a Prayer -Walk at various local schools at 6 p.m. tonight. You can choose to
    actually walk or pray from your car in the parking lot. We will be working with BFG's to
    try to cover as many schools as we can as well as reaching out to other churches.
•   Monday, September 7 - Labor Day Observed.
•   Wednesday, September 9—Students Nerf Wars, 6:30 in the Gym.
•   Saturday, September 12—GPS “Love Your Neighbor” Yard Work Project. See article inside.
•   Saturday, September 12—Marriage Night Simulcast. Located at Cross Church. 5:30 p.m. -
    9:30 p.m. Limited to 150 couples. No childcare. $15 person, register online at

•   Sunday, September 13—Discover NRHBC New Members Class. 9:30 in the parlor.
