Foreword: Vladimir the Great?
was greatly flattered when I was asked to write the fore-

I word to Matt Johnson's Russian Populist: The Political
Thought of Vladimir Putin. I had two great reasons to be
excited about it: Its author, Dr. Matthew Raphael John-
son, and Russian President Vladimir Putin himself.
I have been a subscriber to THE BARNES REVIEW (TBR) history
magazine since 2002. I have always been enamored with history,
and with TBR it was love at first sight. For those of you who are
history buffs but are not aware of TBR, I have to tell you that there
is no better history publication out there. I admired it so much, I
began writing for TBR. Today I am honored to have my name on
its masthead along with Ph.D.s like Matt Johnson, Harrell Rhome,
Fredrick Töben and many other greats. Clearly it’s awe-inspiring to
be included among such great Revisionist historians—no small
number of whom have spent time in prison as punishment for ex-
posing politically incorrect facts in their home nations.
The first book I ever bought from TBR was one by Dr. Johnson
called The Third Rome. Being that I was born in Greece and I am of
the Christian Orthodox faith, both Russia and Orthodoxy were of
great interest to me. It was in the pages of that book that I first found
out that the Russian serfs living in the communes of 19th century

Russia did not live the horrendous lives of oppression and abuse by
the czars I had been led to believe. I found out that the Bolshevik
revolution was not a popular uprising of the serfs against the
tyranny of the czar, but an organized fifth column of Jewish revo-
lutionaries backed by some of the richest men in the world whose
goal it was to seize Russia and destroy Christianity there. I also
found out the reasons why Czar St. Nicholas II and his family really
were murdered, and why the Bolsheviks were so determined to
wipe out Orthodoxy in Russia.
No, the Russian serfs would never have unleashed such a mas-
sacre on their own people—some 60 million killed according to
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. Much darker, satanic forces were the real
executioners.
But Dr. Johnson’s insight goes well beyond Russian affairs. His
vast and astute knowledge of nationalist movements made me re-
alize many things about politics in my home country as well.
I came to the U.S. from Greece as a child in 1969. It was during
the seven-year reign of the junta of the colonels that my family left
our home and came to America. The leftist “democracy” that has
ruled Greece since the colonels were ousted in 1974 has perpetu-
ated the idea that these nationalist, anti-Communist patriots were
evil. As a matter of fact, the vast majority of Greeks has bought into
the idea that the colonels were brutal dictators who tortured their
people, deprived them of democracy and destroyed the country.
It wasn't until I read an article by Dr. Johnson in THE BARNES RE-
VIEW that I realized what Greek nationalist patriots they truly were,
and how the history of my own nation has been so badly twisted
by mainstream history books.
Rather than being vicious dictators, they completely turned the
economy around, built Greece's infrastructure, restored justice,
maintained morality, law and order and saved Greece from Com-
munism and further Western exploitation. A few Greek nationalists
listened to me at the time as I told them these things.
Now, it is even clearer. Greece has been all but destroyed by

nearly 40 years of corrupt politicians, bankers, illegal immigration
and international predators. Many more people are listening and
strongly nationalist parties are rising in Greece.
Few people in the West know Russia like Dr. Johnson—both
historically and in terms of current events. He is an ordained Or-
thodox, Old Calendarist priest, a professor of Russian and Ukrain-
ian history and philosophy and is a theorist of nationalist and
political thought. Having authored several books, written numer-
ous articles and given many interviews on these subjects, Dr. John-
son is a bona fide expert on Russian matters. He also hosts a weekly
radio program on The Voice of Reason network called “The Ortho-
dox Nationalist.”
It is with these credentials that Dr. Johnson has undertaken the
task of writing this book on Vladimir Putin, the most important
personality of modern Russia—and one the most important lead-
ers in the world today.
In Russian Populist, he analyzes the life and political career of
Putin, providing an in-depth understanding of this Russian icon.
He details Putin’s rise to power and the circumstances in Russia
since the fall of Communism that inevitably brought about his ac-
cession to the leadership position of the largest nation on the
planet. He analyzes Putin's political theory, his economic plan for
Russia as well as his agricultural plan for Russia—a nation with a
long and productive agrarian history.
He also delves into Putin’s relations with the West and the
shrewd politics he has employed to stay ahead of Western pluto-
cratic parasites. Johnson also demonstrates his extensive knowl-
edge of the dynamics of the interrelationships of the nations of
Eastern Europe to explain Putin's strategy for a Eurasian rebirth.
Finally, he discusses Putin’s human rights policies, which have
been successful in juggling the needs of the multitude of diverse
cultures and ethnicities he has within and on the borders of Russia.
In the process he cites many speeches Putin has given in order to
offer a balanced perspective of Putin—in his own words.

Being a nationalist myself, and having written several articles on
the current economic and political crisis in Greece for AMERICAN
FREE PRESS newspaper and TBR, I recognize the importance of the
relationship between Greece and Russia. It is a relationship that
spans over 1,000 years, going back to the Byzantine Empire. Greece
and Russia are bound by a common religion and many similarities
in culture. Russia adopted Orthodoxy as its religion under Vladimir
the Great in A.D. 988 and its Cyrillic alphabet is based on the
Greek alphabet. They have shared common enemies: the Turks,
Mongols and Khazars.
When Constantinople was sacked by the Turks in 1453, Mos-
cow became the successor to the Eastern Roman Empire when Ivan
III married the niece of Constantine XI, the last emperor of Byzan-
tium. Ivan III adopted the Byzantine double-headed eagle for Rus-
sia’s coat of arms. In essence, Russia is the Third Rome.
The Bolshevik Khazars eventually took their revenge on Russia
in 1917 and the Turk Khazars decimated the Greeks during the
same period. Dressed in business suits and dominating the world's
finances, these same Khazars today have Greece and most of the
Western world in an economic stranglehold—and are maneuver-
ing to take Russia down once again.
As these words are being written, tensions in Syria are escalating
as Russia brings warships to the region. Syria has downed a Turkish
plane with Russian antiaircraft technology. Putin has made it clear
that he will not idly sit by and watch the same thing happen to Syria
as was done to Libya by a NATO that double-crossed him. Israel is
escalating its threats against Iran as the GOP presidential nominee,
Mitt Romney, is promising Israel that he is its best ally and mention-
ing Mr. Putin derogatorily in his acceptance speech.
All eyes are turned to Putin as Russia has emerged as the only
counterbalance to the awesome military power of the Zionist West.
    May God be with him.
