ACCOLADES AND INSIGHTS
The esteemed management of the SAGE group set an example of leading
from the front. On 15th February, honorable CMD and chancellor, Er. Sanjeev
Agrawal inaugurated the cricket tournament at Nasrullaganj on 15th February
2021 with Shri Jyoti Raj Scindia, Shri Kartikay Chouhan, Shri Prabhuram
Choudhary, and Shri Mahendra Singh Sisodia. Executive Director, SAGE group,
Ar. Shivani Agrawal welcomed respected Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Sports and
Youth Welfare Minister, Madhya Pradesh. During this meeting she addressed
young sportsmen.
Our honorable CMD, Er. Sanjeev Agrawal was a guest of honor at a workshop
titled "Food Processing and Plastic Packaging'. He accompanied Shri.
Omprakash Sakhlecha, MP Government Cabinet Minister, and other
dignitaries.
Er. Sanjeev Agrawal and Executive Director, Ar. Shivani Agrawal met Hon'ble
Chief Minister, Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan. They shared their ideas for the
development of Madhya Pradesh.
The contributions of SAGE University towards the health sector during Corona
times were acknowledged by the renowned media house, News 18. A token of
appreciation was received by our Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Prashant Jain, and was
presented by the honorable health minister, Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary.
These accolades sum up and give deep insight into the essence of the SAGE
group which is Aspire, Achieve and Contribute.
CELEBRATIONS
The birthday celebrations of our young, charismatic and dynamic executive
director Ar. Shivani Agrawal were held on 13th February in the Royal hall. The
entire SUB came on a single platform to wish her a memorable and happy
birthday. The celebrations included cake cutting and performances by the
students band. The celebrations were followed by Honourable CMD Er.
Sanjeev Agrawal, addressing the gathering. He emphasized that to be
successful one needs to work on the identified issues. Following this, Dr. V. K.
Jain, Vice-Chancellor presented updates and plans of SAGE University Bhopal.
The program concluded with the announcement of the Atmamanthan
awards.

Events
Events The campus of SAGE University Bhopal
welcomed famous actor, Sharman Joshi. He
interacted with the students . Our ED. Ar.
Shivani Agrawal held an exciting Q & A
session with interesting snippets .The Royal
hall resounded with joyous banter. The event
registered enthusiastic participation from the
students. Mr. Sharman Joshi who visited with
the cast and crew of Fauji Calling got an
amazing response from the students.
VASANT PANCHAMI
Vasant Panchami was celebrated on 16th February at SAGE University, Bhopal with devotion and enthusiasm. This day
marks the onset of spring. Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge was invoked through Aarti and her blessings
were sought for success.

Bloom's Taxonomy -
Application in Examination
Papers & Assessment
The session on 30th January was taken by
Dr. Amita Maurya. She focused on the role of
Bloom's taxonomy in an academic setting.
She also elaborated on six levels of Bloom's
taxonomy. She informed the guidelines for
setting examination question papers based
on Bloom's Taxonomy.
The session was concluded by Dr. V. K. Jain,
who added a note on the teacher's diary. He
also added that the evaluation of students
should match course outcomes. This will help
us achieve levels of Bloom's Taxonomy.
IFDP
Regulation for the conduct of University Examination
IFDP session on 13th February was initiated by Dr. V. K. Jain. He focused on completion of syllabus, students
exam form process, final practical & exam conduction (online mode). The session was continued by Dr. Amita
Maurya on "Regulation for the conduct of University Examination". She talked about assessment & evaluation
of marks, the award of degree & grade sheet, the award of division, merit & about final examination procedure.
STUDENTS
PROGRESSION DIARY
The session on the 20th of February was initiated by Dr. V.
K. Jain. He elaborated on completion of syllabus, copy
valuation of the final examination, final practical & exam
methods, and guidelines to set final examination papers.
Later on, the IFDP session was given by Mrs. Priyanka
Saxena & Mr. Anat Shrivastava on "Students Progression
Diary". Mrs. Priyanka Saxena focused on the Role of Mentor
& Mentee. She discussed significance, guidelines & various
forms of Student Progression diary. The session concluded
with Mr. Anat Shrivastava making a note on the Students
Progression Index which evaluates various student of
competencies.

DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAM
An FDP on R&D has been conducted
on 30th January 2021 at the F block
seminar hall at 11:30 am. The program
was jointly co-ordinated by Dr. Rajiv
Srivastava and Dr. Sharmila Pandey.
Dr. Raijv Srivastava initiated the
program by briefing the process of
development in R&D at SAGE
University Bhopal. The event included
series of 3 talks given by external
experts to generate awareness in the
faculty of SUB regarding patenting
and IPR. Dr. Surendra Jain, Director,
SIRT-P, delivered a talk on Intellectual
Property Rights (IPR) titled “How to
develop and file Patent”. The next
speaker was Dr. Irshad Ahmad Khan,
Professor, SIRT-P who talked about
“An Intellectual Property Rights:
Confab on Patent & Design Patent”.
Dr. Uday Panwer gave a talk on
“Patent Filing Procedure in India”.
YOGA FOR A
HEALTHY LIFE
A Faculty Development Program on the
importance of Yoga for a healthy life was
organized at SAGE University Bhopal on
6th February 2021 . The session was
enlightening wherein the virtues and
benefits of Yogic Science were discussed
by and Mr. N Raghuraman, noted
motivational speaker and life coach. Dr.
Ashish Dutta, DG and Dr. V. K. Jain, VC,
SAGE University co-headed the event, This
was followed by a one-to-one interaction
of Mr.N. Raghuraman with selected
members of SUB.
VISIT OF ESTEEMED SCIENTIST
Dr. Puneet Singh Chauhan, Principal Scientist, CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow
(Prestigious Institute of India) visited SAGE University Bhopal.
He is a very Renowned Scientist, published more than 125 Research Papers in SCI Journals with
more than 2600 Citations.
Hon'ble Pro-chancellor Sir, Director General Sir welcome him and discussed for future execution of research
facilities at SAGE University Bhopal for the students.
After that Dr. Puneet Singh Chauhan Sir visited the laboratories and met with HoS , some faculty members
and discussed for the academic points.
On my request he accepted the invitation for future collaboration with prestigious Institute CSIR-National
Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow.
EXPERT SESSION
SAGE University Bhopal conducted one Day Interac ve Session
on Importance of Yoga & Medita on in a Happy Life given by
renowned Professor Dr. Sadhna Dauneria, Professor & Head,
Department of Yoga, Barkatullah University Bhopal under the
physical class of Green credit, yoga, and medita on series. In
this expert session, she discussed yoga & medita on-related
ac vi es and the importance of yoga in a healthy life with the
Director-General, Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Dean, HoS, and all
the faculty members of SAGE University Bhopal.
This session started with a brief introduc on of SAGE Group
followed by a floral welcome of our Guest. The students were
benefited from yoga asanas according to Maharshi Patanjali,
the beneficial effect of Ashtanga Yoga in terms of spiritualism,
methods told by Maharshi Patanjali to purity the Chi a,
Dhyana, etc.
MoU
SAGE University Bhopal signed MoU with
Synergy University, Moscow, Russia. This MoU
will promote cultural and academic exchange
for the students of both UG and PG programs.
As part of this program, joint courses will be
offered by both universities.
SAGE Talk
Driving Bio-inspired
Motors in
Computers

A SAGE Talk was organized by Dr. Sharmila Pandey
on 22nd January at 3:00 pm. The Speaker
Dr. Snigdha Thakur, Associate Professor (Physics),
Dean of Academic Affairs, IISER Bhopal delivered a
talk tled “Driving Bio-inspired Motors in
Computers”. She talked about how biological
processes inspire research in the interphase of
theori cal and computa onal physics. The talk
also enlightened the par cipants about nanoscale
robots/motors with a wide range of applica ons.

Destressing Life through
Healing Therapy
and Meditation

The School of Commerce and Management organized a talk on,
“Destressing Life through Healing Therapy and Medita on” on 29th
January 2021 at 1.00 P.M. The guest speaker Mr. Sudhir Shrivastava
and his associates Ms. Urvash Soni and Ms. Kshama Devtale were
welcomed by Ms. Parul Atri. The speaker, Mr. Sudhir Shrivastava,
Reiki master and angel therapist. He explained the significance of
medita on and healing in making life stress-free. He also
emphasized the importance of medita on for students. He
effec vely presented various benefits of Medita on or Dhyan in our
daily life, he explained how Dhyan benefits students in their life and
studies. He men oned the significance of healing therapy and how
Reiki is useful in healing. The session ended with a vote of thanks
extended by Dr. Darshan Subherwal to all who contributed to the
successful organiza on of the event.
Financial Awareness and
Consumer Training

The SAGE Talk on “Financial Awareness and Consumer
Training” was organized by the SAGE School of Commerce and
Management on 12th Feb 2021. Ms. Shru Gupta, Trainer,
Na onal Centre for Financial Educa on (NCFE), Bhopal
addressed the students and made them aware of online scams.
She emphasized developing a financial habit for monetary
saving for future endeavors. Par cipants from various
organiza ons were present and the event was moderated by
Dr. Khushboo Sabharwal Gupta, Asst Prof. Deepak Kirthivasan,
and under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Rajesh K Yadav.

Responsibility of Youth
Towards Nation

SAGE University Bhopal. School of Arts, Humani es and Social
Sciences organized a sage talk tled “Responsibility of Youth Towards
Na on” on 23th January 2021. The speaker Mr. Veer Singh Chauhan
is a mo va onal speaker, an Elec on Analyst and an
Ex. Parliamentary Secretary, karnal loksabha, Haryana. Dr. Veena
kurre, HOS welcomed the guest by introducing him. Mr. Chauhan
discussed the role of youth and their responsibility in the present
context. He explained the importance of youth in the development of
the country. The theme of the lecture was based on Parakram Diwas
held on 23 January. It was a ended by 39 students of different
schools of the university.
The talk was proceeded by an interes ng ques on-answer round.
The Moderator of the event was Ms.Neelshi Sharma and Dr. Sehba
Jafri. A vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Manish Mishra and Miss
Soma Tiwari provided the technical help to make the event
successful.
ACTIVITIES
SAGE School of Agriculture, SAGE University
Bhopal organized an awareness program on
Sustainable Management of Agriculture in
Climate Change Era in the villages of Phanda
Block, Bhopal (Imaliya, Semea Saiiyad, Kot
Mugaliya, Shyampur, Phanda Khurd,
Telakhedi, Naandni, etc..) to fulfill the first
step of the project and also work for
sanc oning the grant. The program targeted
rural youth and farmers to bring grass root

Dr. V. K. Jain was invited as keynote speaker for TEQUIP-III sponsored interna onal
conference on “Recent trends in ar ficial intelligence and communica on” organized by
Rajasthan technical university Kota and Arya ins tute of engineering technology and
management held on 19-20 February 2021.
Dr. Govind Gupta
Dr. Govind Gupta received a grant of Rs. 2,00,000/- under climate change fund from Na onal
Bank Agricultural and Rural Development(NABARD), Madhya Pradesh. This fund will be used
to promote Awareness of Science and Technology in sustainable management of agriculture
in the climate change era. This program will be executed in the Phanda block of Bhopal.

Dr. Deepak Kumar Sondhiya Associate Professor, School of Sciences was invited as a
Resource Person for workshop tled “Development of Ar ficial Intelligence module for
Class-VIII students of D.M.S Bhopal”. It was a Five-day workshop organized by the Regional
Ins tute of Educa on, (NCERT), Bhopal.
