Jeans for Joanna
We will have our first "Jeans for Joanna" day tomorrow, September
11th. Any child or staff member in our programs can wear jeans or
jean shorts and support Joanna with $1. Elementary students have
this option (instead of uniform bottoms) if they bring $1. A uniform
shirt is still required. This is not a Spirit Day. Donations go to
Joanna's Comfort Dog Ministry.

This one-mile youth fun run for
Pre-K thru 5th graders will be held on Saturday, October 17 in the Railyard. Heats are scheduled from
10:30am-12:10pm. Registration is currently $12 (until Sept. 25). More information. Race packets will be
delivered from school for those who register by October 2.

An email will be sent only if there is a change in the Directed Health Measures (DHM) that will change
our process and procedure at school.
Lifetouch Picture Day safety protocols
Thursday, September 17; Friday, September 18 Sumner; Monday, September 21, Yankee Hill
Elementary students and staff will have their picture taken on Thursday, Sept. 17. Order forms will be
sent home tomorrow. The easiest & best way to order is online using our Picture Day ID: EVTFTJXCD.
What to wear?
Students can wear the top of their choice (non-uniform) for the photo. Uniform bottoms will still be
required unless a girl chooses to wear a dress. Keep in mind that students will not be changing after their
photo and will wear their photo outfit all day. (including lunch and recess)
The following guidelines will be followed on picture day:
-electronic check-in to limit interactions and improve efficiency
-photographers will have a sensitization kit to clean camera stations and equipment
-photographers are required to wear face masks during the entire photo session
-students will wear their mask to photo area. During their individual session they will be advised to
remove their face covering to capture their image. No students will be photographed with a mask on.
Free Dress Coupons
For those of you who still have remaining "free dress coupons" that were purchased from the auction last
year, please redeem them by October 30, 2020.
A number of additional free dress coupons were distributed today for Plant Sale prizes that were missed
when school went remote in March. These coupons went to students and classes who had earned
prizes. These can be used now thru November.
Birthday Book Club
What is the Birthday Book Club? For $15 your child is able to pick a book of your choice from a list of
books to be included in our school library. Your child's name will be included on a book plate in the front
of the book. Students will also be recognized at chapel with their book selection. This is a great way to
celebrate their birthday! You will receive an email from the office during the month of your child's birthday.
(Begins in September) Summer birthdays will be included as follows: June in December, July in January,
and August in February.
Poster Contest
Students in grades K-5 are invited to participate in the poster contest for Lincoln Right to Life. Details
Posters are due to the child's teacher no later than Friday, September 25. Be sure to include the
permission slip with your poster contest entry. Good Luck!

In preparation for some upcoming marketing materials for both Christ Lincoln Schools and the Lutheran
Schools of Lincoln, we are looking for quotes we can insert from our parents. Please take a moment to fill

Annual Dinner, Auction & Trivia Night
It's a Luau for Christ Lincoln Schools on Friday, November 13. Mark your
calendar and plan to join us at the Scottish Rite Ballroom. Invitations will arrive
early October. Donations now being accepted. Use this form to turn donations in.
Want to ask a business for a donation? Use this letter. We are also currently
seeking event sponsors. Check out our Sponsor Packet. Due to the current DHM,
we will only be able to accommodate 250 guests in our venue, so plan now if you
want to attend. The event will also have Livestream option.
