Been a tough year, and there will be others. But that is one of the benefits belonging to an organization
like AMAS. Through a Professional Trade Association, will you have the opportunity to guide your destiny.
We’ve put together a very special event for you this year. As you may anticipate, It will be centered
around “education” again the years before.
But this year is a little different…….now we have the new “Advanced Electroplating Course” that is one of
the highlights for the industry of Mexico. This course is quite possibly the best electroplating course that exists
in any language, anywhere in the world. And the best part is that this course is owned by you – the members
of AMAS. And we really look forward to using this 120 hrs of incredible electroplating content to find ways to
share them with our members in efficient and cost-effective ways.
For many of you, this past year’s greatest challenges were all from the Automotive Industry, where you have
always been able to make a living, and grow your business, take care of your families and employees.
And we recognize that fact - so for the 2020 Expo, we added a little something special with the intent
of helping our industry, the city of Guadalajara (“Little Silicone Valley”), and most importantly, the Country of
Mexico, be heard, be recognized and to seize an opportunity to lead.
Meet Neri. Most of you will know him. Because he is truly a rock star, a legend,
an inspiration to all, and one of those who are the best representations of Mexico
and its ability to lead in the world in meaningful ways.
Mr. Neri is with us today to make a challenge to Guadalajara, and to
Mexico that must not be ignored. And if we rise to the occasion we can make
our mark on the future of the industry, and make a win for Mexico.
Lot’s of satellite’s means lots of electronics, and lots of communication.
That is the bread and butter of this city. Also of Juarez, Matamoros, and many
other great cities in Mexico.
Let’s do this for Surface Finishing, but let’s really do this for Mexico. Viva
Mexico Cabrones!!

Booth construction and setup times will vary depending on the booth location you choose. Please pay careful
attention to which room your booth selection is on the floor plan. It will either be located in Salon A or Salon B,
and each have different set up times which are described below.

In some cases, with advance notice we can modify your standard single or double booth by removing side walls.
Please check with the AMAS Expo team to be sure your booth is eligible for this modification, then formally
request this change with AMAS no later than 30 days before the start of the event. Any changes requested less
than 30 days before the event, will have an additional cost.
As an addition reminder, the setup times are very tight this year. However, it may be possible to purchase addition
time for booth set up and construction from the Expo Center. If you think this may apply to your booth, please
either contact the Expo Center directly, or your AMAS Expo representative no less than 30 days before the event,
and they will help you through the process.

IMPORT/EXPORT, CUSTOMS,
AND DRAYAGE SERVICES
For international exhibitors who will need assistance with the
import/export of equipment or display items necessary for your booth,
AMAS has negotiated special pricing with T&A Forwarding as our
preferred supplier to help you through this process.
T&A Forwarding is a Mexican customs broker and international
logistics company with expert knowledge and experience with all
Mexican customs and importation rules and regulations. They can
provide you with a complete door to door service - including
international and local freight, duties, taxes, and fees and everything
you need to make this complicated process - simple and painless.
We strongly advise you to consider starting the paperwork process for these needs as early as
possible. Contact T&A directly to make arrangements for this service.
T&A will also manage SF Mexico’s Drayage services, so if you will need a forklift to move your
heavy equipment on/off of the show floor, or need warehousing on a temporary basis, please
contact them directly to make arrangements.
IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS FOR IMPORT/EXPORT REQUIREMENTS
Deadline for receiving your shipment at customs broker at the Laredo, Texas warehouse will be
March 9, 2020. Shipments that arrive after this date may not make it to the show in time.
All shipments will need the following documents at a minimum.
• Detailed Packing List.
• Commercial Invoice.
• Description of the items shipped detailing use/function.
• NAFTA Document stating Country of Origin.
It is very difficult and sometimes can be very expensive to import brochures, literature, and
promotional items such as hats, shirts, pens, golf balls, etc. We have provided a suggestion for a
supplier in Mexico that can help you create these items in Mexico and deliver them to the Expo
Center for you when you arrive. Please see page 21 for details of our recommended supplier for
these services.
In some cases, international exhibitors will want the equipment imported for display at the Expo
to remain in Mexico after the event. T&A can help you with this special request, but please be
aware that it requires additional information and special permissions so please make sure to let
T&A know if this applies to you as soon as possible.

with an interesting detail about their company. This detail can be about a new product, or
something special exhibitors want attendees to know about their company. We will then
create a score card that includes "clues" about these details which will be distributed to

attendees from the AMAS booth at the designated time. Attendee participants will then have
3 hours to talk to exhibitors to try to discover the answers to these clues. Those participants
who score perfect (or the top scores) will then be entered into a drawing that will take place at
