 Prosper Champions
Our staff excel in their efforts to become the best care staff possible. Recently around the home,
you may have noticed posters for our “Prosper Champions”. Prosper is a training scheme by
Essex County Council, and stands for “Promoting Safer Provision of Care for Elderly Residents”.
Our staff have been trained on things such as how to reduce risks such as falls, and how to man-
age hydration, nutrition and infections. Our Prosper Champions, in order below, include Beata,
Patricia, Mary Anne, Lilyanne, Leigh, Carmen and Lijo!
We also have other criteria for Champions, for those who have gone above and beyond and had
extra training on a special subject. These include the St. Luke’s Hospice “End of Life Champion”,
“Life Vac Champion” for choking and associated risks, “Infection Control & COSHH Champions”,
and many more. If you need help on a specific topic, please speak to our staff who can point you
in the right direction!
