Space Jam 2 becomes a reality
The highly-anticipated follow-up to the hit 1996 movie
starring NBA legend Michael Jordan is now a go. With future
hall of famer Lebron James as the star, it is being held at
high expectations.

Lebron James will not be the only basketball star to be
featured in the movie. Many other all-stars will have cameos
in the film, but have not been named yet. One specific
basketball legend, Kobe Bryant, has declined a cameo in the
upcoming film.

It is also rumored that Michael Jordan will have a cameo in
the film. Considering he was the star of the last film, this
is a great twist to add to the new film.

Space Jam 2 will be directed by critically-acclaimed director
Ryan Coogler. Coogler has directed films like Black Panther
and the first Creed movie, both of which starred Michael B.
Jordan. Other notable actors include Chadwick Boseman, Daniel
Kaluuya, and Sylvester Salone.

Lebron James will star as the team’s small forward, while Bugs
Bunny will star as the point guard. They will again have to
battle the Monstars. It is similar in a way to the original
Space Jam, but with creative mind Ryan Coogler behind the
camera, we are all in for a surprise.

Many students have been long awaiting the sequel. “I saw the
original Space Jam and it was really good. I like

Michael Jordan and I think he’s a good actor,” senior James
Gore said. “I like basketball. I can’t wait to see Space Jam 2
when it comes out.”

Lebron James is the perfect fit for this movie, considering
that he is arguably the best player in the world. Others might
argue that he is the best player of all time.

“Personally, I think Lebron James is better than Kobe Bryant,”
senior Patrick Brown said. “I would even go on to say he is
better than Michael Jordan. I think Lebron is the greatest
player of all time.”

Although it is titled Space Jam 2, director Ryan Coogler has
said that this is not a sequel to the first Space Jam. He
claims that this is an independent film. Coogler has a lot to
live up to, considering the first movie made $230.4 million.

Coogler and James seem to be on the same page. James has even
gone to say that he has respect for Coogler. He has also said
that he loves his vision, and he also praises him for bringing
the first black superhero to life.

This relationship is important to the film. Production of the
movie is set to be started in the NBA off-season of 2019. Fans
can expect to see the film in theatres around the end of 2019.

New student rapper
JuicyJad has shocked AHS with his new hit single “Duckin
Sirens.” He is only a junior, but he started making music this
past summer with a few of his friends. He believed that after
freestyling and hearing what he could do, he could make music
and earn profit off of it. “I chose to put my music on
SoundCloud because I wanted to make money,” Jad said. “ I
became a SoundCloud rapper about 2-3 months ago. I balance my
school work and rap by writing my lyrics after my homework is
finished at night.”
Jad claims that more music is on the way and he’s working hard
to make his way to the top. He wants to be able to perform
here at Annandale, but his music is explicit which could
interfere with that.
Jad claims his group of friends and him stay around Little
River Turnpike abbreviating it by using LRT. He refers to this
in his lyrics. “I check with my brothers LRT on the map with
the goons.”
This song refers to staying out of trouble with his friends
while having fun, even though this is indeed a hard thing to
do in today’s society. With gun violence and police brutality
on the rise, Jad influences his fans to do the right thing,
because you never know if you’ll be the victim of violence.
Jad also has another song that he uploaded earlier in the year
named “Everything Must Go.” Although this song’s views and
likes are not as high as his other song, it still is
considered a hit here at school. In this song he speaks on his
love for cars and foreign women. He addresses gun violence
again in this piece, meaning he must have a strong concern for
our society and on controversial issues like gun violence.
JuicyJad’s music is explicit, but is worth the listen. You can
listen to him on Soundcloud for free.
Keep your eyes on rapper “JuicyJad”, as he could one day make
it big time. His music is very appealing to some folks and
addresses teenage life and real world issues. He is the future
of rap ladies and gentleman.

The Hate U Give
First written as a novel, The Hate U Give, was an instant hit
when it was released in February, 2017. The novel debuted at
no. 1 on The New York Times young adult best-seller list,
where it remained for 50 weeks.
Now becoming a film, many critics believe it will be` one of
the best movies in 2018.
The main character, Starr Carter is a teenager with an
African-American background. Starr has been living between two
worlds. The first world is a poor neighborhood where she grew
up in and is mostly African-American. The second world is the
rich white prep school she attends.
The storyline is narrated by Starr Carter who is drawn to
activism after she witnesses the police shooting of her
childhood best friend.
This novel and movie captures the all around burdens and
events that have adrenalized the Black Lives Matter movement.
The movie and novel collects the inclusive talk about race:
police brute force, shootings, gang violence, and many more.
The actors in the movie consist of many stars such as Amandla
Stenberg who played Rue in the Hunger Games, KJ Apa from the
hit show Riverdale, Common who has been in many hit movies in
past years, and more star actors.
The Hate U Give opened in theaters on Oct. 5. With all the
hype surrounding it, it is expected to be a hit movie directed
by George Tillman Jr.

Call of Duty: Black Out beta
Call of Duty has become one of the most recognizable and
highest ranking first person shooters.
Released under Treyarch and Infinity Ward gaming companies,
this is the fourth installment of the Black Ops series.
Besides the Black Ops series, Call of Duty has released 16
other games, with one of the most successful set of games
being the Modern Warfare series, released prior to any Blacks
Ops game.
This new Black Ops game is different than previous games.
Their games are usually either team matches or free for all.
But with the popularity of Fortnite and other battle royal
games, COD has had to adapt. In their new game, Black Ops 4,
Call of Duty has acclimated into the battle royal area.
Players can now experience the fast paced arena of Call of
Duty with the battle royal mode we have all come to love. So
far there have been two betas released.
The most recent has been the Blackout Beta. The beta was
released for Playstation 4 on Sept. 10 and for Xbox and PC on
Sept. 14.
Blackout is strictly for the battle royal mode. Once you get
into the game, your character is in a helicopter flying over
the vast map.
This new map is bigger then any other Call of Duty map that we
have seen before. It also has encompassed maps from other Call
of Duty games including Nuketown from Call of Duty Black Ops
3.
When you fly down to the arena, your character has a wingsuit
and pulls their parachute on their own. As for weapons, they
are standard Call of Duty ammunitions.
They range from assault rifles to snipers, with many classes
inbetween.
There are also vehicles that you can find and use. The
vehicles consist of ATVs, helicopters, trucks, and boats.
The overall game play for blackout is pretty fun. It is quick
games of 100 people or less. The game is basically Fortnite or
PUBG but with much better graphics and vehicles.
There are 3 constant game modes which are solo, duos, and
squads. However there are also special game modes that are
limited time including fast collapse.
Fast collapse is regular game play but with a quicker storm.
Multiplayer will also be included. It will be the normal Call
of Duty style everyone expects.
A new story mode for zombies may prove to be the best one yet.
It takes Scarlet Rhodes on an adventure to solve her eccentric
father’s mysterious disappearance.
The installment includes time travel to find a relic that
could destroy humanity. The game seems to be jam packed with
action.
It will be an amazing new game with fabulous graphics and
wonderful game play. The Black Ops 4 game is set to release in
the next couple of days, on Oct. 12.

“Sierra Burgess is a Loser”
embodies teens
The new movie, Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, has gotten a lot of
attention since it came out on Sept. 7.

The movie, starring Shannon Purser and Noah Centineo, was
trending on Netflix the day it came out. Part of the reason is
that since the movie, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, came
out, people can’t get enough of the heartthrob that is Noah
Centineo. The movie itself is like a sweet Disney movie with a
modern twist to it.

The film is based on how a self-conscious girl falls in love
with a charming boy over phone calls and texting. The movie
gets so much recognition because nowadays teens have problems
with self-consciousness and they can really relate to Sierra.
Throughout the film, not only does a relationship blossom but
also an unexpected friendship with the “mean girl”.

Before the movie came out, Shannon Purser had made appearances
in award-winning shows such as Stranger Things and Riverdale.
Noah Centineo had previously been seen on The Fosters, Austin
and Ally, T@gged, and To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. Since
Sierra Burgess is a Loser came out, it made both Shannon and
Noah bigger stars.

Critics say the movie is best described as pleasant, and also
how this movie makes you think about just how deep beauty is
to you. They say the butterfly-inducing romance really
captures those sweet moments of falling in love.

Book Review: After by Anna
Todd
No words could describe the depths nor raw emotions author
Anna Todd placed in this book. ‘After’ is hands down the most
amazing book I’ve ever read. It is about a college girl,
‘Tessa Young”, who’s never lived life. A girl who’s followed
mothers strict rules but longed for something more. Though she
kept that desire at bay til she met the one and only ‘Hardin
Scott’, who would sooner later affect her life drastically.

Hardin is a troubled kid who enjoys causing pain and
violence just to feel something. He thinks he’s an error in
society, someone who shouldn’t nor deserve to be alive nor
receive any type of kindness or love. As Tessa regains a
sexual awaken due to Hardin, Hardin develops these foreign
feelings for Tessa. He wants to be a better person for her.
Throughout this book their relationship goes up and down on a
continuous cycle, soon wearing out Tessa. She loses a piece
her while trying to put him back together.

Character development is seen widely throughout this
unfolding love story. The only reason this particular book
stands out is the raw ugly side that Author Anna Todd
portrays, reminding us readers that not all relationships are
perfect. She had beautifully written this phenomenal story
that now affects many people, clouding their judgment on how
they should be treated in a relationship. One might argue and
say that Anna Todd has romanticized toxic and abusive
relationships. Basically normalizing and praising anyone who’s
been in a destructive relationship.

I see it differently, as two people grow into better
versions of themselves. Two people who impact their partners
intensely, two people who love each other more than breathing.
Under all that scrutiny and insecurity, Hardin finally
realizes that he is worth fighting, worth saving thanks to
Tessa. Tessa also finds the real meaning of love and happiness
when she’s with Hardin. He makes her feel alive in ways she
couldn’t describe.

Overall, I think this book is very interesting and
underrated. It doesn’t deserve the hate it received but I
won’t degrade these biased opinions. The book should get the
recognition, so I’ve convinced my peer to give it a look. So
far I have received positive feedback stating how much they
love the Hardin and Tessa’s connection or how drawn they are
to the plot. The movie will be released on April 12th, 2018
and I honestly can’t wait.

Review: The Notebook
If you’ve never watched the Notebook book then
you’re probably living in a cave. It’s known for being one of
the most heart-tugging, romantic, eye-watering films in the
movie industry. The main characters are played by the one and
only Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling. Both charming
individuals play their most iconic roles in the unfolding love
fest that draws its audience on an emotional rollercoaster.
Noah Jr. (Ryan Gosling) risks his life at a carnival by
hanging on the Ferris wheel, forcing Allie Hamilton (Rachel
McAdams) to go on a date with him, otherwise, he’ll loosen his
grip, plunging to his death. Okay maybe not death but he’ll
inquiry some serious injuries.

The audience instantly became hooked in this scene.
None of us would’ve expected a teenage boy to put a girl in
such a life-threatening situation. Especially since the whole
reason was to score a date. However, his master plan somehow
worked causing him and Allie to fall in love. Now, this is
where I get a “wtf” moment. In what world would a young boy
put himself in such a position so he could get a date with a
complete stranger? What happened to simply ask girls out, you
know not putting your life on the line to avoid rejection?

I think the intensity of him pursuing her is what
makes us drool and “goo goo” eyed on this couple. We’re drawn
by his unorthodox way of asking her out. Nevertheless, since
this is a love movie, coincidentally they fall in love. The
rest of the movie seemed pretty realistic, you the classic ‘oh
my parents are moving away because they don’t think you could
provide a future for me due to your lack of money’ scenario.

After years of loneliness for the two, they once again
rekindle as if the light in their love had never burnt out.
Nowadays true love like this is considered a fantasy, but it’s
what we all should expect from our partners. Faith, support,
respect, trust, and unconditional love are all something our
generation should thrive for. Without these factors,
everything would crumble around you everlasting. It’s a sad
world we live in, yet I believe these romance movies give us
hope or even a glimpse of what real love is. Before you say
all that crap is made up or nonsense, how do you think they
were inspired? All things that were once a fairytale, where
the truth at some point.

Drake leads summer of music
This summer has been jam packed with popular albums from
famous artists. The charts have been filled with big names and
new stars. The summer has also been filled with our fair share
of rap beef between artists.

It all began between Drake and Pusha T but ended quickly when
Pusha called out Drake for hiding a child. Drake ended up
responding on his popular and highly anticipated album
‘Scorpion’ which released on June 29.

In mid August we saw Nicki Minaj battle the charts and call
out other rappers like Travis Scott for padding their stats to
make their sales look better. She is trying to prove to
everyone that she is still the best female rapper there is, as
Cardi B has been on her toes and trending.

We saw Meek Mill release his four song EP, ‘Legends of the
Summer’ and Future release ‘BEASTMODE 2’ on July 6, Wiz
Khalifa release ‘Rolling Papers 2’, and Denzel Curry release
‘TA1300’ in late July.

August was big month in music. Travis Scott started things of
on August 3 by dropping ASTROWORLD, which was announced three
years before. Rappers YG and Mac Miller also released their
own albums on Aug. 3, ‘Stay Dangerous’ and ‘Swimming’. Trippie
Redd dropped ‘Life’s A Trip’ on Aug. 10 after beefing with
popular rapper, Tekashi 69. Female rapper Nicki Manaj dropped
her album ‘Queen’ on Aug. 10. Finally, Young Thug released
‘Slime Language’ on Aug. 17.

Out of these major album releases 2 really stood out on the
charts, Drake’s ‘Scorpion’ and Travis Scott’s ‘ASTROWORLD’.

‘Scorpion’ is Drake’s fifth studio album and is a double
album, consisting of 25 tracks. It’s A-side is primarily hip-
hop and rap, while the B-side is considered R&B and pop. Drake
executively produced the project himself in collaboration with
long time friend Noah “40” Shebib and manager Oliver El-
Khatib. The most popular song on the album was “In My
Feelings,” as it went viral as the “In my feelings challenge”,
many celebrities participated. The album featured popular
artists like Ty Dolla Sign, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Future, Nicki
Minaj, and PartyNextDoor. Fan reactions to this project were
extremely good as all 25 tracks reached the Billboard Top 100
on July 14.

Travis Scott’s “ASTROWORLD” is his third studio album. It was
released on Aug. 3, by Grand Hustle Records, Epic Records and
Cactus Jack Records. The album features guest vocals from Kid
Cudi, Frank Ocean, Drake, The Weeknd, James Blake, Swae Lee,
Gunna, Nav, 21 Savage, Quavo, Takeoff, Juice Wrld, Sheck Wes
and Don Toliver, among others. The album did well commercially
with over 537,000 units sold. This is due in part by bundling
merch and the album, so if you bought Travis Scott merchandise
you got the album. On Aug. 10, the album was certified Gold by
the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
YouTubers box for title
After months of trash talk and ugly rumors, millions of online
viewers and thousands in person watched two of the most
popular YouTubers duke it out in the ring on Aug. 25. It was
advertised as the biggest event in internet history, bringing
in about 2 million worldwide viewers. The event was held in
Manchester Arena, one of England’s most premier boxing venues,
where 21,000 people from all over the world came to watch the
bout.

Out of three judges, two scored the fight a 57-57 draw and the
third judge scored it as a 58-57 KSI victory. This highly
anticipated boxing match between two YouTubers had ended in a
majority draw after six, three minute rounds.

Cynics called this fight a staged event so that the fighters
could pocket more money after the rematch. While others just
enjoyed the bout between two amateurs and are looking foward
to it again.

This fight came to terms after KSI, whos real name is Olajide
“JJ” William Olatunji, challenged Logan Paul after his
previous boxing match against Joe Weller, another YouTuber on
February 3, 2017, which he won.

KSI is based out of England, as are most of his 19.5 million
subscribers. KSI is from Watford, England and is known for his
vlogs and rapping on his YouTube channel.

As for Logan Paul, he gained popularity by making short videos
for the ap, Vine. Paul later created a YouTube channel and
uploaded vlogs after Vine started to die down. Paul gained
infamous global notoriety after posting a video of a man who
hanged himself in the Japanese Suicide Forest. Logan Paul has
now gained over 18 million on YouTube.

Despite the two million online viewers, more were expected to
watch. The fight was being streamed live on YouTube for $10
but only about 830,000 bought the fight legally, while the
others found pirated versions of the fight on other sites,
like Twitch, one of YouTube’s biggest competitors. Seniors
Hunter Shinstock and Fares Ayoub are of the thousands who
bought the fight.

“I bought the fight because I watched a lot of Logan Paul
before he uploaded the suicide forest video,” said Shinstock.
“I wanted to see him lose and see how he would act online
after all the trash talk.”

The event featured seven fights, and all were announced by
boxing legend Michael Buffer, all between popular Youtubers.

Call Me Ham vs. Jrizzy Jeremy, Call me Ham wins!
MOMO vs. RossiHD, MOMO Wins!
JMX vs. Coach Richard, JMX Wins!
FaZe Sensei vs. overtflow, Faze Sensei wins!
AnEsonGib vs Jay Swingler, AnEsonGib wins!
Deji vs. Jake Paul, Jake Paul wins!

The fight started out extremely strong for Logan Paul, as he
won the first two rounds easily.

“After I watched the first two rounds I thought Logan was
going to win by a knockout, KSI seemed like he wasn’t doing
anything right,” Ayoub said.
In the third, fourth, and fifth rounds KSI seemed to find his
footing and began to land some strikes on Logan. Every time
KSI landed a punch everyone in the arena would go crazy, it
seemed as if there was nobody rooting for Logan Paul.

As the fight progressed Logan started to get tired and his
punches started slowing down. But in the middle of the fifth
round the fight was close to being over as Logan Paul unloaded
over 10 punches on KSI’s head and made him look helpless.
Though, after the exchange KSI seemed unfazed.
“I thought the fight was over after those punches,” Ayoub
said. “I was screaming at my TV in excitement, I thought the
official should have called the fight then.”

KSI rebounded in the final round by dominating Logan and
forcing him to clinch onto to KSI in order to avoid punches.
There was multiple times when the crowd and the announcers
thought KSI was going to knockout Logan. The fight ended with
KSI landing a strong jab that made the crowd go crazy.

“I thought the fight was even but I was thinking the judges
were going to give the win to KSI because it was in his home
country and he ended very strong in the final round,”
Shinstock said.

After the final bell rang both fighters were celebrating with
their teams and coaches as if they had won.

“Logan really showed the judges in the early rounds that he
deserved to win, he used his height and reach to his
advantage,” Ayoub said.

The trashtalk didn’t end there as Logan Paul called out KSI
for his swelled eye that Logan gave him moments before. The
two have agreed to terms for a rematch but have not determined
a date or location yet, though the fight is rumored to be
somewhere in America.

“The fight definitely lived up to the hype, it was a great
fight,” Ayoub said. “I can’t wait for the rematch.”

2018 IB Film Festival recap
AHS IB Film classes presented the annual Film Festival on May
23.
A total of 29 short films were presented at the festival. The
student-made movies showcased included a range of genres
including documentaries, comedies, animations and more.

The winners of the total of 10 awards that were given at the
festival were determined by a panel of five judges, with two
awards, Audience Choice and Audience Choice Runner-Up being
selected by audience members through a vote.

The panel of judges included Principal Tim Thomas, Math
teacher Michael Mazzarella, English teachers Sasha Duran and
McClain Herman and 2012 AHS graduate Andy Riddle.

“I was impressed with a lot of the films,” Mazzarella said. “I
liked the balance of documentaries and actual films and the
different themes throughout.”

IB Film students were able to put together a variety of
filmmaking skills acquired throughout the school year in order
to craft their short movies.

“I really enjoyed being in the IB Film class this year,”
junior Kyle Dalsimer said. “I got to see a lot of classic
films and learn about filmmaking as a whole.”

With both junior and senior classes presenting films at the
festival, it is typical for there to be a competition over
which class wins the most awards.

This year, the senior class won all awards with the exception
of one, Best Actor.

The Best Actor award was presented to sophomore Raffi
Krikorian in the film Star, which is about an untalented young
man with aspirations to become a celebrity.

“It was really cool for an actor in my film to win an award,”
Dalsimer said. “I was able to write him the lines and direct
him in a way that his full potential for the character would
be released.”
The Best Actress award went to senior Anna Vogus, who was
featured in a documentary style film.

The only film to win multiple awards was Dash of Freedom,
which depicted a stranded soldier in the Vietnam War
attempting to escape.

Dash of Freedom won one of the two awards determined by the
audience, Audience Choice. The runner-up for the category was
A Chef’s Heart, about a chef seeking acceptance into a
prestigious culinary school.

Dash of Freedom also came away with the Jury Prize Runner-Up
award on back to back announcements.

“The filmmaking making process for it was long but fun,”
senior Everett Stenberg said. “We had a lot of spontaneous
ideas that turned out to work really well with the pre-planned
script that we had.”

The Jury Prize award was given to the film Karma which
demonstrated the importance of individuals obeying their
parents or otherwise be at the behest of karma.

The documentary Dreamer, about senior Nicolle Uria’s
experience as a DACA recipient, was selected for the Best
Documentary award.

Dreamer was also selected for presentation at the VHSL Film
Festival on June 2.

For more on this documentary click here.

Other winners included A Senior Tribute for Best Editing and
Hope for Best Cinematography.

The heartwarming short film Rise, a narrative about a young
boy who struggles with dyslexia, was awarded Best Screenplay.

“I felt really accomplished winning an award for a film
because my production group and I put a great deal of effort
into making it,” senior Mariam Mohamed said. “Winning an award
means a lot because I will keep the trophy in my college dorm
room and see it forever.”

IB Film Festival held tonight
The annual IB Film Festival is a presentation of about 20
short films created by students in genres including
documentaries, comedies, dramas, etc.

The festival this year will take place at 6 p.m. in the
auditorium. Admission is $5.

A prominent film this year that has been selected for the VHSL
Film Festival is a documentary titled Dreamer. Dreamer tells
the story of undocumented AHS senior and DACA recipient,
Nicolle Uria.

“We focused on the hardships Nicolle and so many others have
to face in the country today,” group leader Megan Lee said.
“The production process consisted of many interviews, research
and post-production editing to fully convey our message.”

The film will be presented at the VHSL Film Festival on June
2.

“My group, Nicolle and I are extremely happy that our
documentary was chosen by VHSL,” Lee said.

The festival features a number of short films from IB Film
Studies classes which include both juniors and seniors.
There are a variety of genres showcased each year including
documentaries and personal narratives.

Other documentaries include A Payless Job, a movie about the
challenging role of being a mother and A Winning Tradition, a
movie about AHS being a school of underdogs when it comes to
sports.

The categories of awards given to the filmmakers and groups
include: Jury Prize, Audience Choice, Best Screenplay, Best
Actor and Actress and Best Documentary.

“It is always fun to watch the competition between the juniors
and the seniors over who will win more awards,” IB Film
teacher Alan Weintraut said.

IB Film classes have completed a number of short projects and
films throughout the school year in preparation for the
festival.

“I think with all creative endeavors there’s a last-minute
push to get your work done,” Weintraut said. “Sometimes it’s
frustrating to see some students wait until the last minute,
but then again that last 10% of the creative process can yield
really great filmmaking.”

KOD Review: Simplicity at its
finest
The guy gave us four days to prepare for his second album in
about two years. He wrote, produced and recorded all twelve
songs in two weeks.

J. Cole took a road of simplicity, as anyone should when
making an album in two weeks. He not only rocked us with the
hardness of the album, but he also exercised his own “demons”
of becoming “boring” as he kept going down the same road,
lyrically, in his music.

The production of the album has a heavy instrumental influence
with some basic bass mixed into it. This gives the album that
simple but tremendous bass you can just turn up in your car
too.

The inclusion of the snare-drum is very noticeable in KOD,
making itself almost the star, production wise. It gives it
that simple but hard aspect that the album drives on.

Lyrically, it’s some of J. Cole’s best work.

He goes out of his usual bubble of talking about his personal
struggles with finding love and growing up in hard times and
takes on some more social issues.

He raps about drugs, money, loyalty, and his take on today’s
rappers. Though, yes, it is all on a more personal level, he
still managed to switch up his lyrics and give us a breath of
fresh, new insight of J. Cole himself.

His lyrics are outstanding, capturing the essence of wordplay
and flow so perfectly. He’s able to rap what’s on his mind all
in one take. Long or subtle, he knows how to create a simple
but strong verse.

Take “Motiv8” for example, a song about getting motivated in
gaining money. He has two very small verses, yet they’re
strong in their own way.

“Double up my cream, now that’s a double stuff.”

“They don’t speak ingles, but the money is something they
could comprende.”

“I got bread like I’m Green Day.”
The lines are so simple but go hard and have meaning.

He even had some words for today’s rappers in his Intro to
“The Fall Off.” Not necessarily dissing them, but trying to
give them advice. Some took it as offensive, but he is a
Grammy award winner and a possible finalist for the Music
Pulitzer (calling it now) for a reason.

He is trying to warn what other societies outside of their
intended audience might think of them and how it could impact
not only their own imagine, but the community they represent.

This is arguably his best studio project after 2014 Forrest
Hills Dr.

It’s the simplicity of not just the production, the flows, the
subjects and issues he brings to light, but his ability to say
so much in such little words.
