2021 SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Dear Friend, Business Partner, and Home of the Sparrow Supporter, This past year, Covid-19 has really impacted Home of the Sparrow and the clients we serve. We are doing everything we can to keep our shelter open and sustain our programs and services for homeless women and children in McHenry County and Northern Illinois. While the world around us is on pause, homelessness does not stop. Neither does the work we do to provide families with shelter, affordable housing, case management, counseling, educational programs and supportive services when they need it most. We hope that you will help support our efforts by becoming a partner and sponsor. As a participating sponsor, your company will benefit from extended exposure through promotional efforts and media campaigns directed towards supporters of Home of the Sparrow. Your commitment will enable your company to enjoy extensive exposure to our community and your target audience! We have a variety of sponsorship levels available which are detailed in the enclosed sponsorship packet. You can select the level of participation that best meets your needs and be secure in the knowledge that your sponsorship will benefit the homeless women and children served by Home of the Sparrow. Please find the Sponsorship Commitment Form at the conclusion of this packet and return it via mail, email or fax it to 815-271-5406. Home of the Sparrow is a 501(c)3 organization and our Tax ID number is 36-3494491. Your contribution may be tax deductible in accordance with applicable IRS regulations, however, please check with your accountant. During these uncertain times, one thing is certain – together we can do extraordinary things! ABOUT US
Home of the Sparrow is a local non-profit that has been helping
homeless women and children in McHenry County and Northern
Illinois for over 34 years. We are dedicated to providing Hope,
Opportunity and Support as these women and children journey
from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
In fiscal year 2020, Home of the Sparrow served over 575 women
and children through various programs and services, including a
transitional shelter, 3 subsidized apartments, 26 affordable housing
units, and a rapid rehousing program. We also have an outreach
and prevention program that links at risk indiviuals in our
community to various services, including emergency assistance
with food, health care, clothing, transportation, behavioral health
services, legal assistance and more.
The growing demand for our services requires a contuning
commitment from our community. It will take all of us, working
together, to help the women and children that home of the
Sparrow strives to serve every day.

THRIFT STORES
Home of the Sparrow owns and operates seven thrift stores,
including Community Threads Resale Store in Arlington Heights,
and six Sparrow’s Nest Thrift Stores & Donation Centers located in
Cary, McHenry, Mundelein, Palatine, Third Lake and Woodstock.
The purpose of the thrift stores is to support the mission of
Home of the Sparrow. Net proceeds from the seven stores
are used to support the women and children in Home of the
Sparrow’s shelter, programs and services.
VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
Home of the Sparrow has a wonderful Volunteer Program, with
over 800 active volunteers, including 45 service groups that helped
with various projects this past year. Our current volunteer
opportunities include helping at our Thrift Stores, in our Children’s
Mentor, Education and Ambassador Programs, serving on our
Event Committee and at Fundraising Events, helping with special
projects at our many properties, and providing administrative
support at our Headquarters Office.

A fundraiser with a virtual twist via Zoom! Escape those quarantine blues and join us for a fun evening

sharing our mission and inspirational stories, and an exciting raffle! Raise a glass, and help us change the
lives of homeless women and children in our community.
