Our first stop today is the Bell Homestead, declared a Canadian National Historic Site by Queen Elizabeth in 1997.
On July 26, 1874 Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone and in 1876 made the world’s first successful
long distance telephone call from Brantford. An included lunch today will be at the Olde School Restaurant. A
converted schoolhouse dating back to the 1870’s hosted her majesty Queen Elizabeth on June 28, 1997. We will

MON. OCTOBER 5, 2021                             FALL COLOUR EXPLORER                              $135.00
There is so much to explore in Ontario and no better time than in the fall when the landscape colour
changes. Our scenic drive will be on beautiful Highway 7 to our provinces hidden gem, Marmora. We
will visit Canadian Wildlife artist Ron Plaizier. Ron won first place at the Buckhorn Art Festival in 2012
and 2016 and the Ducks Unlimited Canada National Art Portfolio in 2018. At the birthplace of
Ontario’s Mining industry, Marmora Lake is 75 acres wide and 635 ft deep because of its mining

As we begin our journey north today, our first attraction will be in the village of Coboconk and home
of one of the smallest jails in North America! The Coby jail constructed in 1884 and built with two-
foot-thick limestone walls mined from local quarry remains unchanged in quaint village. For all HGTV
watchers our next stop will be the Carving Gallery near Norland. Ontario's own Scott McGillivray
included this unique stop on one of his episodes of Scott's Vacation House Rules. Prepare to be
amazed at what the detailed carving demonstration creates. Enjoy an included lunch at the
Haliburton Highlands landmark resort at the Bonnie View Inn located on Lake Kashagawigamog. After
