Welcome to the fifth St Albans Film Festival. It is great to be back with an amazing programme
of workshops, short films and feature films, all based on this year’s theme of ’Speed’
STORY
So, whether it is fast cars, fast talking or fast people, we have something for you.
@HERTS
And after last year’s success, we welcome back our Open Air Cinema in the beautiful setting
of St Albans Cathedral grounds, with a whole of host of films, including our parent and toddler
screening, our family fun day, our teenage special, plus our ‘Affordable Cinema’, where you
can pay what you can to watch a film.
Other highlights include a VR workshop in the newly reopening St Albans Museum and
Gallery, a stand up comedy show at the Fleetville Larder, a UK Premiere - What Doesn’t Kill
me at the Maltings Art Theatre, A walking photography tour hosted by Ben Roper,
plus the amazing documentary Senna, screened at the Pudding Stop.
A massive thanks as always to my partner in film, Leoni Kibbey who support, creativity
and enthusiasm has helped produce another amazing festival.
And of course, this festival could never happen without our sponsors, hosts, friends
and volunteers. Thank you.
I hope whatever event you attend over the festival this year that you enjoy yourself
and have a brilliant week.
