Dear students,
As a new academic year begins, all of us at Université
de Nantes are pleased to welcome students especially
[ CONTENTS ]
those who have just received their high school
diploma.
Every year, there are more than 37,000 students
WELCOME
preparing one of our 164 degrees within one of our 20
components. Around 4,200 international students,
representing a wide range of countries, will be joining

us this year and we are pleased and proud to count
them as part of the University.
GETTING STARTED
The future is in youth education, innovation and research. In order to take
part in these major challenges, Université de Nantes offers a new model of
University in France. This new and decompartmentalised model will bring

together Higher Education as well as Research operators (Grands Ecoles,
Research Units, University hospitals). Beginning in 2020, it will bring the
focus of attention to matters regarding access to quality Higher Education for
everyone. The objective being to create the necessary conditions for success
and fulfilment for every student and to facilitate major innovation. 23 STUDY
Pursuing a degree, whether in a university program, a technical or vocational
field, always requires a strong personal investment. Whatever your goal may
be, all of us at Université de Nantes are committed to helping you carry it out
in the best conditions.

We are proud to welcome 150 student associations from a wide variety of
