Seven Steps to Enroll at ACC
Complete residency and apply for admission.
STEP 1 Before applying to ACC, obtain your N.C. residency determination at www.ncresidency.org.
Once you have chosen your program, complete the admission application at www.alamancecc.edu
or by visiting the Admissions Office.
Complete the financial aid application (FAFSA) if you are applying for
STEP 2 financial assistance.
Apply at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Contact the ACC Financial Aid office at 336-506-4340 with any questions.
Submit official high school transcript (or high school equivalency) to
STEP 3 the Admissions Office.
Official college transcripts are required if transfer credit/prerequisite verification is sought, or if you are
using Veteran benefits.
Determine if placement testing is needed.

The University Transfer curriculum prepares students to

Transfer Agreements and Pathways
ACC provides a gateway to our state’s four-year colleges and universities through system-wide agreements, as well as special
transfer agreements, bilateral agreements, and co-admission agreements. Co-admission agreements allow students to be
admitted to a university while they complete an associate degree. The College also has also special agreements and bilateral
agreements with specific colleges and universities to encourage and support the transfer process.

ACC’s Associate Degree Nursing
Associate Degree Nursing program trains students to provide
nursing care to patients throughout
the life span in various settings.
Admission to the nursing program is competitive and
based upon the selection of candidates who possess
the ability to succeed in a demanding academic
program. Prospective graduates of the program are
required to participate in clinical rotations at hospitals
and other clinical settings as part of the process in

Medical Assistant. Students learn in our on-site clinic
setting including reception area, exam rooms and labs.
Nurse Aide/Nurse Aide II
ACC’s Nurse Aide program trains students to provide individual patient
attention in the health care field. After this 16-week training program,
and successful completion of the state competency exam, students
are eligible to seek employment.
NURSE AIDE II course provides training in selected advanced Nurse
Aide procedures. Emphasis is placed on sterile techniques, wound
and tracheostomy care, respiratory procedures, catheterizations,
