Traditional Macedonian folk music, in all its sparkling melodic and rhythmic splendour,
arranged for Simon Trpčeski by fellow countryman and composer Pande Shahov. Featuring
Balkan wedding music, mystic vocal melodies and jazz elements, the show reveals Trpčeski
as also an accomplished folk singer and band leader.

professional singers from all over Europe come
together under the baton of Nicol Matt to
perform choral music by Morten Lauridsen.
They recorded many of the works for the
first time for Deutsche Grammophon who will
release the CD in Autumn 2018. The highly
popular US American composer is well known
for his 1994 compostion of 'O Magnum Mys-
terium' which became core repertoire for many
choirs. The composer will accompany the choir
on the piano.

S P E C I A L P R O J E C T The Nutcracker and I, by Alexandra Dariescu, is a new and
innovative 50-minute live performance for piano, ballerina and digital animation.
On stage will be a grand piano, played by Dariescu herself, and a ballerina behind a
see-through gauze screen. Projected onto the gauze, and bringing the story to life, are
exquisite digital animations. They follow the music and engage live with the pianist and
ballerina as they ‘dance’ across the screen. The audience will feel like they are actually in
and a part of The Nutcracker story.

S P E C I A L P R O J E C T The Choir of
Wesminster Abbey is the only choir in Great
Britain which is allowed to carry the title 'The
Queen’s Choir'. For centuries it has been the
Choir of Westminster Abbey and has been
musically accompanying ceremonies such
as royal funerals and royal weddings, most
recently the wedding of Prince William and
Catherine Middleton in April 2011. Composers
such as Handel, Purcell and Elgar have written
works specially for the choir. The choir does
