MAGDA NAVARRETE
                      Poland
                      Founder of European Vocal Camp

Magda Navarrete is a voice coach, professional singer, performer & dancer. Founder of many worldwide
events and projects. Stands on stage from last 30 years singing and performing, recording albums and
touring the world as a singer and as a teacher. Magda together with her husband Andres created several
international projects that are dedicated to create space and place for other singers and artists to grow.
Learning from her own experiences, from teaching around the world, and as well from being part of
several singing organizations - brought her to co-found the Modern Vocal Training Institute - looking for
better knowledge and better opportunities for others to develop themselfs.

Magda’s specialty is World Music. Developing her talent and honing her skills since she began singing at
nine years old, Magda has gained vast multicultural experience while travelling and working around
the world. Born in Warsaw, and studied music and anthropology in Madrid. While living in Madrid, she
sang with flamenco musicians and learnt from the masters of this style. She sings boleros, latin and
gypsy music, flamenco, polish traditional music and many fusion music. She has collaborated on
multiple musical productions and festivals all over the world, including Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico,
New York, Romania, Germany, Morocco, Ireland, Finland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, etc

As a performing artist, Magda’s unusual style is a result of her consciously letting different musical
styles influence her. Magda has recorded 4 albums: “Chilli” with Noche de Boleros (released on
Warner Music and distributed on the Polish, Spanish and German markets), “IMAN” under her
own name, “Warsaw Lutoslawski” with Peter Steczek and string orquesta, and “Mezihra” with her
international band czech - polish , Caravana Banda which is headline group of many world music
festivals and theatres like Dublin Fringe Festival, NOSPR in Katowice, etc.

               ACTING FOR SINGERS
Entering to a band is only half of your work; Once you are inside, you are expected to
perform a great performance each and every time. Good singing is not the only thing people
would expect of you when you get on stage. The way you move, how you present yourself
and everything you do while you sing will be a big part of what is called: PERFORMANCE.
This workshop will show you what is needed to improve each of the things necessary to
create good acting and how to find authenticity and stand out from the crowd. The Acting
For Singers workshop will give you an idea of how to position yourself on stage, how to
move, how to use your own musicality, how you look and how to perform. All this through
a form of work based on building „true emotion” and „following the impulse”. Thanks to
the „IMPROV” technique of Chicago – You can try different characters and have a lot of
fun. We will be using tools of theatrical work to deepen the musicality of each one.
Through laughter, fun exercises You can explore their „stage fright” or „feel stuck” or
„have few ideas how to act once we get on stage” and turn weaknesses into their new
                      artistic power.

                       WORLD CHANTS
Put your seat belts on and let your self go to undiscovered and new music lands.
During this workshop you will learn different usage of voice in different cultures,
songs from diverse part of the world and in many different languages. You will
experience different voice techniques used in local folklore. You will try “Mugam”
from Azerbaijan, or quarter tones from Arabic Music, “white singing” from Eastern
Europe and some crazy ornaments from Spanish Flamenco.

                                                                                 EuropeanVocalCamp.com

              RNB VOCALS
Great RnB singers must possess a mixture of vocal technique, knowledge of vocal effects
and have their own unique style. In this class we will analyse some of the most iconic RnB
singers, identify how they use vocal effects and learn to apply these effects to repertoire.
Singers will be expected to learn 2 songs by heart from a list that will be provided before
                camp.

                   GOSPEL CHOIR
This is our daily vocal „explosion”. At the end of every day and after all the intensive
workshops we get to this special moment when we unite all the power from over 60
singers into a very special Gospel Choir. This workshop is for everyone at camp and
will also cover some Gospel riffs & runs training.

                                                                                 EuropeanVocalCamp.com

         A CAPELLA
Great RnB singers must possess a mixture of vocal technique, knowledge of vocal effects and have
their own unique style. In this class we will analyse some of the most iconic RnB singers, identify
how they use vocal effects and learn to apply these effects to repertoire. Singers will be expected
to learn 2 songs by heart from a list that will be provided before camp.

              EAR TRAINING
In Ear Training, we will be looking primarily at how to identify the common intervals that are
used in Western Music. Why is this important? Well as singers we don't have the luxury of
physically being able to see our instrument, like a guitarist or a pianist, and so often we have
to rely on our ears and muscle memory. This class will help us to identify intervals and also
look at how we can use them in putting together basic harmonies.

                  SINGING DUETS
In this class we will be exploring the ways in which we can structure an awesome duet! We
will be looking at examples of great duet singing and then pairing off to put what we learn
into practice. This class is ideally suited to people who are comfortable singing solo and
duetting in front of the rest of the class, and comfortable with singing and formatting
harmonies under instruction and on your own.

                                                                                    EuropeanVocalCamp.com

engage at a deeper level. Why then, when we’re singing to a captive audience, do we so often fall
short & forget we’re doing exactly the same? During this practical class you will learn techniques
& strategies to really connect to your audience and remain present within your whole
performance. Whilst an audience may enjoy & appreciate hearing a singer with the most perfect
vocal technique & range, a singer who gives a performance that has real intent & purpose will
have an emotional impact & a lasting impression, in some cases one that will be remembered
forever. Everyone surely lives to be that singer!

                AUDITIONS
The very word “Audition” can leave even the most experienced singer a quivering nervous
wreck. The pressure to deliver your very best in an unnatural environment with, in some
cases crazy time limitations seems like enough to make even the Beyoncé’s of this world
want to give up singing forever! For serious singers however, auditions are going to come
along at some point & the key to nailing them with just the right amount of confidence is
much more about the preparation than the audition itself. From TV shows & West End to
local competitions & amateur dramatics, uncontrollable nerves, forgotten lyrics, a bad
image & the wrong song choice can be the difference between a yes or no, a celebration
or tears. Learn how to take control, showcase the best version of you & prepare for the
expected (or unexpected) in this hands on highly interactive session.

                                                                               EuropeanVocalCamp.com

                         LENA OSIŃSKA
                         Poland

Singer, songwriter, performer and music producer. Her love of music began at a public music school in
Warsaw, Poland, where she started studying classical piano at the age of 7. After nine years of playing Bach,
Beethoven and Chopin, she decided that the life of a classical pianist is not for her and dropped out. She
soon started writing her own songs and in 2015 she auditioned for The Voice of Poland. One year later she
joined an electronic group called SONAR with which she released two critically acclaimed albums: „Pętle”
and „Torino.” The band performed at the biggest music festivals in Poland, including Open’er Festival and
Tauron Nowa Muzyka. What she appreciates most about her job is how creative it is. Every day she
searches for new sounds, melodies, lyrics and ways to connect with people on a deeper level.

       LOOP YOUR VOICE
You’ve probably heard about looping. Maybe you’ve seen videos of people creating entire songs with
just one microphone. Or maybe you saw Ed Sheeran perform at a huge stadium – alone with just his
guitar and a loop pedal. It’s hard to believe you can make such beautiful and complicated
arrangements with so little equipment. In this course you’ll learn how to do that. You’ll discover the
tools needed to loop your voice and how to use them. The only requirement is to bring your phone
or tablet (with Android or iOS) with you to the class.

            INTRO TO MUSIC PRODUCTION
Music production seems difficult. All that talk about software, hardware, mixing and mastering
just makes you not want to start. What you really want is to transfer the ideas in your head into
real sounds. In this course you will discover the basics of music production from the perspective
of a vocalist. You’ll learn how to use the available tools in a way that will help your creative
process and not complicate it. There is an incredible world of sounds and rhythms in these
computer programs that could really inspire you and push you into new musical areas. I’d love
to show you how to access them.

          DEALING WITH STAGE FRIGHT
YStage fright is something that all performers experience in one way or another. Sometimes it’s the
more obvious physical symptoms such as shaking and going blank, sometimes it’s all going on
inside our heads and can present as anxiety and then sometimes as we develop further in our
careers it manifests as less obvious things like creative blocks and limited thinking. In this
workshop we will look at what stage fright is and what we can do about it. We will understand it
further, explore itsdifferent presentations and walk away with practical ways to deal with it. In
the process we will learn from each other and understand more about the experience of being a
creative person and how we all have so much in common.

               CREATIVE DEVELOPEMENT
As creative people it can be difficult to know how to develop ourselves. What does creative
development look like? What are our creative needs? How can our thinking about ourselves
get in the way of our progress as singers and musicians? What are our blind spots? In this
workshop we will look at how our thinking can limit us & develop strategies for
progression. We will look at how to understand our musical purpose and explore our
contribution to this world, whatever stage or level that might be at. We will look at the
importance of presence and connection as performers and walk away with a clearer
understanding of ourselves as creative beings.

                    BUILDING UP YOUR MUSICAL CAREER
As singers and musicians, we sometimes lack structure and vision for our future. Or
alternatively we can have a big goal and may miss some of the steps along the way that
are so important in order to progress successfully. This workshop will look at our short,
mid, and long-term goals as a performer and see what might be helpful for you to
progress along that plan. We will look at what your support system might be, the
potential pitfalls along the way and explore the importance of realistic goal setting.
Participants will walk away with a clear vision of where they are going, along with a
flexible and practical way of thinking that allows them to bend with the curves of the
                      creative journey

                                                                                 EuropeanVocalCamp.com

2 - IF the CoVid is still EXTREME (Less likely) You won't lose your booking fee. You can choose to use your booking fee from the following:
     a) To move your entire booking fee to CAMP 2022
     b) To use it on an ONLINE CAMP EVENT (cheaper version of camp online)
      c) To transfer it on any Modern Vocal Training event, including Online Teacher Training Certification
      d) To use the equivalent on Voice Private Lessons

3 - The last option is that CoVid isn't around anymore, in this case you will be required to raise a glass!!! with all the camp people to at the
   camp entrance!
