WOSU Radio — On the Grow
There’s a new member of the WOSU radio family! On All of WOSU’s regional FM stations are now carrying a
March 2, WOSX at 91.1 FM premiered on the WOSU Radio mix of classical music and NPR and Central Ohio news
Network. WOSX covers all of Granville and portions of programming to serve the many Ohioans losing quality,
Newark and Heath. WOSU negotiated with Denison trusted sources of regional, national and international
University to acquire the station after Denison decided news. The demise of print journalism in particular has
to stream its student programming over the Internet rather left many people with limited access to important news
than using radio. WOSU will provide student internships and coverage, which is why WOSU decided to bring more
other considerations to Denison as part of the agreement. news programming to its regional FM stations.

WOSX is the fifth regional radio station licensed to WOSU, WOSU has also joined with NPR stations in Cleveland and
joining stations in Marion, Mansfield, Coshocton and Cincinnati in an effort to build a stronger digital and radio
Portsmouth. WOSU’s primary stations are 89.7 NPR News news backbone to serve all Ohioans. Stay tuned for more!
