Competition Rules.
As event of FINA AS World Series, the competition will be organized according to FINA ASWS
Regulations.
Due to Covid and the cancellation of part of the series the rules have been amended. All federations
may take part in each category in the Super Final and continue to collect points for the prize money.
In order to be eligible for the prize money the Federation must have competed in two competitions
per category.
Registration: All Federations participating in the competitions of the World Series must be registered
by their National Federation in the FINA GMS http://data.fina.org by May 17th, 2021.
Please be informed that all registrations that were submitted in the FINA GMS for the previous
cancelled event (FINA Artistic Swimming Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament 2021 - Tokyo) will
remain untouched. Should you have any cancellations, we kindly ask you to inform FINA directly
at aquaticsdb@fina.org
All travel details previously entered for Tokyo have been removed. Please enter the new flight details.
IMPORTANT: Teams who are participating with a routine at the ASOGQT and are also qualified
for the ASWS Super Final MUST enter the exact same entry in both events in the FINA GMS.
Please be reminded that it is not possible to register two different teams, these need to be the
same in both competitions.
Routines: Technical Routines (Solo, Solo Male, Mixed Duet, Duet and Team) and Free Routines (Solo,
Solo Male, Mixed Duet, Duet, Team), Free Combination, Highlight. No points can be collected for the
male solo category this season.

For ASWS Super Final only, it is possible to have up to two (2) male swimmers as part of the team in
the Highlight and Free Combination events.

Entries: Every National Team may enter 1 Solo (Free and\or Technical), 1 Solo Male (Free and\or
Technical), 1 Duet (Free and\or Technical), 1 Mixed Duet (Free and\or Technical), 1 Team (Free and\or
Technical), 1 Free Combination and 1 Highlight.
This competition will be held back-to-back to the FINA Artistic Swimming Olympic Qualification
Tournament. Those National Federations that enter their Team and Duet routines to the ASQT and are
also qualified for the ASWS Super Final, their score in these events in ASQT will be considered for the
ASWS Super Final. Teams do not have to swim twice. The judging panels for the Olympic Qualifier
Routines will be composed by the appointed Olympic Qualifier FINA judges.
Draws will be seated in Olympic Events (Team Tech, Team Free, Duet Tech and Duet Free) to
accommodate the last-minute unexpected combining of the two events. The ASOQT competitors will
be seated in the first half of the draw and the ASWS SF will be seated last half of the draw.
Visa.
Some visitors to Barcelona, Spain should have a valid visa for their entry and stay in the country.
Spanish Swimming Federation (RFEN) will facilitate an entry visa to Barcelona, Spain for all participants
of the Artistic Swimming Olympic Games Qualification Tournament who have completed their
registration in the FINA GMS by the registration deadline attending to the current Spanish legislation.
Please make sure that the visa mandatory fields (I.e personal data and contacts, scan of the valid
passport with expiry date must be no earlier than December 14th, 2021) are completed correctly and
up to date in the FINA GMS with the city and country where you will apply for the visa.
Please note that application for visa may take up to 5 or more working days depending on various
criteria.
The Organising Committee will issue the Letter of Invitation, which will be sent to the email address
indicated within the GMS registration.

Every participating NF may bring an A or a G judge to this event. The A or G judge must have
successfully passed the Judges Exam administered at a FINA Artistic Swimming Judges Certification
School, the online annual exam and be on the current FINA List. The list of judges for each competition
should be sent in advance to FINA. Because this event is now combined with the Olympic Qualification
Tournament, please NOTE all Olympic Routines (Team Tech, Team Free, Duet Tech and Duet Free) will
be judged by FINA appointed Olympic Qualification Judges. The referee previously selected for the
Olympic Qualifier will referee Team tech, Team Free, Duet Tech and Duet Free. All other events will be
refereed by the LOC referee. Federations who wish to send judges with their teams to the ASWS SF
may do so: however, those judges will only be eligible to judge Solo Tech, Solo Free, Male Solo Tech,
Male Solo Free, Mixed Duet Tech, Mixed Duet Free, Combo and Highlight Routine.
Judges must sign a conflict of interest declaration form and submit to OC before 25th May 2021
Judges attire black pants and black sport shoes. Polo shirts will be provided by OC.
Medical Service Information & Doping Control.
Medical service will be available during the stay of the teams in Barcelona, it will be available at training
and competition facilities. Mobile medical teams and an ambulance team will be working at the
competition venue near competition zone. If the patient is in need of emergency medical care, they
are taken to the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona on duty (6 minutes walking distance from competition
venue).
Doping controls will be according to the FINA DC Rules and the WADA International Standards.

Every participation National Federation is required to inform the LOC of the following information*:
∗ Short presentation of the athletes and the coach
∗ Explain the choice of music and its meaning to the athlete(s)
∗ Solo, duet or team’s best achievements
∗ Solo, duet or team’s goals for this event and goals for the future
∗ For solo and duet: give some interesting information about the athletes (studies, main
interests, hobbies outside the sport, favourite athlete, elements you had more trouble with).
∗ Please provide at least one fun fact about the swimmers, the team and/or the coach. Example:
favourite author, food, nick names, any pets, your good luck charm, etc.
This information will be used by the commentators after the routines and will help the audience to
connect with the athletes.

LOC based on the training and competition schedules.

All participating National FINA Member Federations are responsible for their own team’s
accommodation and board expenses.
Single room 230 € (Full board) per night/ per person
Twin room 190 € (Full board) per night/ per person
To avoid cancellation charges, the Accommodation section must be notified of any amendments or
cancellation latest by 6th May 2021.
The official accommodation period will be as follows:
Arrival: June 6, 2021 (check-in time 14:00)
Departure: June 14, 2021 (check-out time 12:00)

Gala Show.
LOC will create a Gala Show with the competition best moments plus some interviews with the athletes
and good wishes for Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 that will be filmed during the event. We will ask all
National Federations to send to the OC an underwater performance with a specific 10-20 second part
of a specific piece of music the OC will provide. This will be one piece of specific music per federation,
please include all of your athletes in this creative moment.
This is required before 25th May 2021 to alexvalls@rfen.es This will be featured on social media
channels.

This competition will be held without audience. No ticketing will be available.
Covid-19.
