Friday 18th and Arrival and unloading of containers and trailers (free container craning

21st and Tuesday 22nd and weighing at the Race Office of the Fraglia Vela Riva.

Race and Press Offices
The Club Office and the Race Office are located in the main building of Fraglia Vela Riva. The Press
Office is located in the old railway station (Vecchia Stazione Ferrovia) of Riva del Garda 150 meters
north from the main building of the club (see map in slide 4 of the Venue Info Pack).

Parking at Fraglia Vela Riva
Parking at Fraglia Vela Riva is available for team vans and private team cars on the car parking just
behind the club (see map on page 4). As parking is limited we ask you to bring only the cars you
absolutely need to the club. All vans and cars need to be registered at Fraglia Vela Riva and have
to have their register badge inside the car. You can register your car with the front office at the
club. Please note that from the 22nd to the 23rd parking behind the club will not be possible due to
the departure of the Giro d’Italia (bicycle race). More information on this and indication for
alternative parking will follow.
Craning at Fraglia Vela Riva
Craning is provided by the Organising Authority during the official craning schedules. If you wish to
crane earlier or later you need to place a request with the Organising Authority. Craning outside
the official craning schedules is at cost of the teams.
The craning out sequence of boats after the last regatta on Sunday will be arrange according to
container placement and logistics required. The Organising Authority will provide a craning list
accordingly. To provide a fast service we are planning on using two cranes on Sunday. Craning will
start straight after the last regatta. There will be no craning during the period of the prize giving.

Berthing at Fraglia Vela Riva
The Organising Authority will provide an assigned berth for each boat at the port of the Fraglia
Vela Riva.
Support boats / training before the regatta
Please read the special instructions in the Notice of Race (point 15. Support boats) applying to all
support boats on Lake Garda.
If you are training on the Lake before the start of the official training check in with the Organising
Authority (Alberto Bertamini or Christian Scherrer) for a dedicated briefing. Please be aware and
respect the many water sports activities on the lake.
Fuel for ribs and compressed air
The next fuel station for ribs is situated in Porto S. Nicolò east of Fraglia Vela Riva (see map on
page 3). Just a cross the road from the Porto S. Nicolò there is the base of the Gruppo
Sommozzatori Riva where you can recharge your diving or spare air bottles with compressed air.

Spare Air Familiarisation Training
We are offering a Spare Air Familiarisation Training on Tuesday the 22nd of May for interested
teams. The training will be run by our safety officers Richard Bell and Henrik Norberg. Please
contact Christian Scherrer to sign up for the training. More info will follow.
GC32 Worlds WhatsApp Group
Additionally to the notices posted on the official notice board (ONB) on the event website

During the World Championship the event website will transform into a live website with both,

Lunch and lunch packs
Lunch and lunch packs can be booked / ordered directly with the restaurant of the Fraglia Vela
Riva. Please contact the staff at the bar or Riccardo Rodi the chef of the restaurant directly and
make your bookings and arrangements with enough time in advance. The restaurant will be open
for food from 10.30 nonstop until 19.00. Arrangements for dinner are also possible.

Official Regatta Dinner
On Saturday evening the 20th of May the Official Regatta Dinner will be held at the Rocca castle in
Riva del Garda.
Prize Giving
On Sunday 27th of May after racing at 17.00 the Prize Giving will be held at GC32 Lounge at the
Spiaggia dei Olivi.

GC32 Lounge / Spiaggia degli Olivi
In the Spiaggia degli Olivi next to the Fraglia Vela Riva we are setting up the GC32 Lounge for our
sailors and guests, for Morning Coffee at the Skippers Briefing and Happy Hour Drinks after racing.
To access the GC32 Lounge you will need to show the event bracelet. Eight bracelets per team are
included in your entry. For additional members to the team bracelets can be purchased for the
price of € 80 for the duration of the event.
GC32 Guest Hospitality
Our hospitality partner Ventana Group is runs the GC32 Lounge at Spiaggia and offers a special
hospitality program for guests and sponsors. Find details in the Hospitality Presentation on the

GC32 On Board Guest Hospitality
We will run a limited On Board Guest program during the World Championship. Guest sailing will
be limited to training sessions, speed runs (Anonimo Speed Challenge the Official Timekeeper of
the Worlds) and dedicated “on board guest periods” and will be only run if the prevailing
conditions are suitable. Numbers of spots will be shared between the teams (50%) and GC32 Class
(50%). There will be no more the two speed runs per day. Stephanie Nadin from the GC32 Class
will be in charge of the program. Stephanie will contact you before the event with more
information and to check also on your requirements.

Anonimo Speed Challenge
Anonimo Speed Challenge is held on a 400 m long race track comprising two reaches with a
turning gybing mark in the middle. Individual teams set of at one minute intervals and their
average speeds are calculated. The fastest team during the 4 days of racing will be awarded an
Anonimo GC32 Nautilo watch.

Event Photography
Pedro Martinez will be the event photographer and will in Riva from the 22nd of May onwards.
Photos will be available on a photoshelter account for press and teams. Photos are rights free for

Event Video Production
Icarus Sports is in charge of the video production and distribution for the event. VNR’s, daily
highlights, short social features and a wrap up video will be produced and distributed.
Opening / Press Conference
The event will be opened on Wednesday 23rd of May after the practice races at 18.30 in the GC32
Lounge in the Spiaggia degli Olivi next to the Fraglia Vela Riva building with a Press Conference
and Opening Aperitif.
