Market Update.
As of March 5, 2021

                      Geneve.
General situation.

! Travel restrictions for entering Switzerland still apply and change frequently
! Border sanitary regulations of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH)
! Restrictions under immigration law of the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM).
! Additionally,
each country has their own restrictions for returning travelers
! As of March 5, 2021, only guests from Poland can enter Switzerland and
return to their home country without restrictions (test, quarantine, closed
 borders)
Covid test before entering Switzerland.

! Almost everyone who enters Switzerland must fill out an entry form.
! Travelers must be able to show proof of a negative coronavirus test in two
  situations:
! If they enter Switzerland by air.
! If they have stayed in a country with an increased risk of infection within the ten days before
    entering Switzerland.
! Thenegative result must be from a PCR test conducted less than 72
  hours previously.
! Ifthe negative Covid test was carried out more than 72 hours prior to entry
into Switzerland, entrants must be retested immediately upon arrival in
  Switzerland at their own expense.
18
Covid test before leaving Switzerland.

! Hirslanden Private Hospital Group
! Covid tests possible at 7 of their hospitals. PCR test can be booked online. Costs vary from
CHF 140 to CHF 160. Results available within 24 hours in German, French or English
! Checkport Test Center Zurich Airport
! Express PCR tests at Zurich Airport on a walk-in basis. Result available within 5 hours
(soon within 90 minutes). Costs are CHF 195.00. Certificates available in all necessary
     formats and languages.

20
Current situation: Immigration.

! Entry
requirements (restrictions under immigration law) of the State
 Secretariat for Migration (SEM)
! TheSEM defines, together with the EU / Schengen a list of risk countries
! Regular exchange between Swiss authorities and ST
! Switzerland will strictly follow recommendations of EU / Schengen
! EU is struggling to identify a new list of risk countries as the situation is constantly changing
! Immigration wise Schengen borders remain open. The respective public health authorities
define measures regarding quarantine and testing
! Stricter immigration rules within Schengen are always possible on a national level (e.g.
   Germany with CZ, Tirol, France)

                                                                                                       21
Current situation: Visa.

! Schengen will decide when visa-markets are free to enter the Schengen area
and Switzerland will strictly follow the decision
! Visasections within Swiss representations are ready to to ramp up again
! Outsourcing companies (VFS, TLS) are struggling but are still present
! Downsizing, moving into smaller premises, dismissal of staff etc.
! Outsourcing companies will be a bottleneck when borders open and visa
requests are starting to ramp up
! Small premises, not enough (trained) staff, no dedicated country counter etc.
! Theoretically visa can be applied for a maximum of 6 months ahead of travel

                                                                                     22
Digital health pass. Existing initiatives.

• EU Health Pass: Initiative by the EU. Draft legislation as early as March 17.
EU Commission responds to pressure from some member states that are
threatening to do it alone. Switzerland is in talks with Brussels to be included.
The document should prove vaccination, results from a fresh negative test or
immunity after a Corona illness. It should make travel possible again, but also
easier to visit restaurants or events. Under discussion; releasing travelers
    from quarantine requirements.
• IATA Travel Pass: Developed in four independent modules that can interact
with each other: global registry of health requirements, of testing, vaccination
centers; lab App; contactless Travel App. Supported by WHO and others
                                                                                        23
Digital health pass. Existing initiatives.

! CommonPass: Part of an umbrella initiative called CommonProject. Based in
Zurich, supported by WEF and Star Alliance amongst others
• Health Pass: Debuted in May 2020 to provide businesses and consumers
with Covid19 immunity credentials. Supported by airports worldwide, LabCorp
    and others.
• AOK Pass: Travelers present their digitally authenticated COVID-19 test
results to board the quarantine-free flights. Supported by SGS and UNWTO.
• Other initiatives
    • IBM Health Pass, EU Tourism Manifesto etc.
• Important: Not one solution but interoperability between all of them
                                                                                    24
