Weekend Special - Paignton This is an ideal weekend to meet some of the staff of Taf Valley Coaches, re-acquaint with old friends and a chance to make new friends. Paignton, is a resort popular for its arcaded shopping street, harbour, promenade and busy town centre. Babbacombe itself is full of lovely shops, restaurants and cafés and a pedestrianised shopping precinct is only a few hundred yards away, so there is plenty to do during your visit.

Itinerary Day 1 Depart West Wales in the morning and travel to Bideford for our 4 nights stay, with comfort stops en route. A more laid back weekend than their other theme breaks with the emphasis on the use of Welsh products from local producers, their Welsh weekend aims to give a unique taste of Wales experience. The Welsh Weekend will include a Welsh afternoon tea with home baked cakes. 8 course Welsh tasting menu on Saturday night. Special Welsh breakfast menus. Great Orme Brewery Talk and Tasting. Apollo Hotel is a 4 star hotel and is located a short walk from the centre of the city, which is full of history, architecture, bars, restaurants and shopping areas.

All 88 bedrooms have been furnished in a traditional Dutch style and are equipped with hairdryer and TV. From 17th century canals to stunning architecture, the compact Dutch capital city is overflowing with world-class attractions, charm, friendliness and plenty of character.

In the afternoon you will have time to explore Amsterdam in your own time.

• The ever popular Keukenhof is one of the world’s largest flower gardens with over 7 million tulips, daffodils and hyacinths creating a spectacular display in the so-called ‘Garden of Europe’, covering an area of over 32 hectares.The park is awash with the sight and scent of blossoming flowers.A fabulous day out! • We will have a half day excursion to Kinderdijk, which will include entry to a windmill and a short boat trip. Kinderdijk is a UNESCO heritage site and is home to one of the largest collections of windmills in Holland (19 in total), all dating back to the 18th century and kept in working order.We return to Breda allowing you free time to explore the city.

The hotel has something for everyone:- There is an outdoor garden area, tennis court, putting green, children’s play area and woodland/fitness walk.

While indoors there is a full sized snooker table, table tennis table and dart-board. A lift is also available to all floors.

Itinerary Day 1 We will leave early morning and travel to Grange-Over-Sands for a 4 night stay with comfort stops en route. Day 2 After breakfast, we will take a trip through the heart of the Lake District to the ever popular town of Keswick, before continuing to England’s most beautiful lake, Ullswater, for a cruise on a steamer from Pooley Bridge. (Due to the Historic nature of the boats, wheelchair access will not always be possible). Day 3 Today we will enjoy a one-way steam train journey through the beautiful Leven Valley on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, before boarding a delightful cruise along Lake Windermere from Lakeside to Bowness–on-Windermere.

Day 4 After a leisurely breakfast, it will be full steam ahead to the Western Lakes for a nostalgic trip back in time on the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway. Enjoy a return trip on Lakelands oldest and longest railway to the foot of England’s highest mountains. (Although most trains are scheduled to be operated by steam engines, diesels are also operated and may replace steam at short notice for operational reasons). Day 5 Like all great adventures, they must come to an end, so sadly we depart for home with comfort stops en-route.

Located in the North of Spain, this region is more unspoilt and is the proud home to some of the jewels of Spain, with amazing landscapes, charming beaches, exciting cities and cultural treasures. Gran Hotel Suances – is located 700m from the beach and is an impressively grand, brilliant white Victorian style building.This elegant hotel is incredibly fresh and bright throughout, with marble flooring and is decorated in stylish fabrics. Itinerary Day 1 With a morning departure, we will travel to the ferry port to board the Brittany Ferries cruise ferry to Santander. Relax and enjoy a night on board ship.Taking just 24 hours, the route is the fastest direct ferry service to northern Spain. On board you can enjoy award-winning service and top-class facilities, including gourmet restaurants, stylish lounges and comfortable cabins. Day 2 We arrive in Santander in the afternoon ready to make the short journey to our hotel, arriving in time for dinner. Day 3-6 We have included the following excursions:- Santillana del Mar & Comillas.

This morning we head west along the coast to the pretty village of Santillana del Mar to explore its cobbled streets and admire the honey coloured churches. Continue on to the visitor centre at the Altamira Caves, which boasts a spectacular reconstruction of its remarkable pre-historic cave paintings. In the afternoon, we continue to Comillas which is home to many types of neo classical buildings and a beautiful cemetery which was declared a Site of Cultural Interest.

Suances. Today we will spend at leisure, relaxing in our resort, perhaps heading to the lovely sandy beach for which Suances is famous for. Santander. Today, we will travel to the engaging capital city of Cantabria, Santander. Full of fine beaches, shops, cafes and some intriguing cultural attractions, there is plenty to take in here.The Palacio de la Magdalena, once the royal summer residence, lies at the mouth of the Bay of Santander on the rocky La Magdalena Peninsula whilst the city centre is home to Santander Cathedral, with its octagonal cupola and Gothic cloister, or just enjoy exploring and strolling along the nearby Paseo de Pereda promenade which runs along one side of the Jardines de Pereda gardens.

Picos de Europa. It is only the second year the RHS Flower Show will be held at Chatsworth Estate, set in 1,000 acre parkland in the heart of the rolling Derbyshire countryside. RHS flower shows are always a spectacular day out and never disappoint, with the floral marquee, talks, demonstrations, trade stands and exhibitors, all wrapped up in a vibrant carnival atmosphere. Day 11 Leaving Belfast today, head down the East Coast to discover Ireland’s capital city, Dublin.
