DIGITAL HOMESCHOOLING
Teneo School’s qualified teachers are passionate about using digital
technology to empower every student’s learning journey.

Teneo offers timetabled LIVE classes delivering structured, quality education
through our cutting-edge learning management system.

All classes are pre-recorded, and enrolled students have access to ANY
learning material, ANY time they would like.

English - Home Language AND Afrikaans FAL

Afrikaans - Home Language AND English FAL

Subjects from the following are available in English and Afrikaans.
Student must select all subject choices in only one chosen language
medium.

*Subjects marked with an asterisk involve submitting a Practical Assessment Task (PAT). These task are compulsory.

PLEASE NOTE:
• It compulsory for students completing a Full Matric to take a Home Language, FAL, Mathematics
  or Mathematical Literacy and Life Orientation. They can then choose 3 additional subjects.
• All Physical Science students must take Mathematics. Included with Physical Science are two
 additional one-on-one tutor sessions per term.

HOW WILL IT WORK?
Adult Matric is a specialised fast-tracked Teneo two-year programme.
Students complete Grade 10 and Grade 11 in the first year, and complete
Grade 12 in the second.

Content is designed to be completely asynchronous, meaning students are
able to have access to ALL of the teaching content, ALL of the
time.

- You will have access to all daily recorded lessons.
- You can communicate directly with your dedicated subject
  teacher via the Canvas Inbox
- You will have access to MORE content than ever before. Students are
  able to access ALL teaching content produced for that week, ALL the time.
- You will receive 5 one-on-one tutor sessions per term (a total of 20
  sessions per year)

FEES
There are three ways to pay:

Teneo School Fee Structure (2021)

Total fees for 2021 will be R23 940 per annum. These are payable
monthly/termly/annually.

Annual payment: Receives a 7% settlement discount upon payment before
December 2020 OR student can choose FREE access to either Xtra Maths or
Coding Kidz for 1 year.
Termly payment: R5985 per term payable in advance of the term. Student also
receives free access to Xtra Maths for that term.
Monthly payment: 10 x R2394 monthly installments (February - November) –
paid in advance of each month. One month’s notice is required should you wish
to discontinue with Teneo.
** PLEASE NOTE: One month’s notice is required should you decide to leave Teneo at any time during enrolment.
Fees exclude textbooks, SACAI registration and exam centre fees.**

REQUIREMENTS FOR SET UP
ALL YOU NEED IS:

- A laptop or desktop computer with 1.6 Ghz + processor, 4 gigs (RAM) PLUS a
  webcam & microphone.
- Internet connection - 10 mbps+ download speed & 2mbps upload speed.
- 50 gigs of WIFI per student per month. Advanced LTE is available from
  most service providers.
- Latest version of Google Chrome
- Printer & Scanner / Back-up source is recommended. These are available
  for smartphones & tablets. You need one that can create multi-page docs
  from multiple scanned pages.
- Teneo will supply Office 365 (excl. CAT and IT students).

TEXTBOOKS
We make it as easy as possible to access each grades set list of textbooks.
There is a link on www.teneoschool.co.za that will take you to the ITSI store
where all our textbooks in e-Book form can be found.

Textbooks can be purchased in eBook form on the ITSI website (Windows 10,
MacOS, IOS or Android Device required) or as hard copies from any school
supplier.

*eBooks purchased through our ITSI store cannot be printed. (Approx.
budget for all books per year - R900 - R1000 p.a)

MATRIC FINALS
Students are registered as ‘home schooled’ with SACAI as Teneo School is
regarded as a Distance Learning Institution. All exams including Matric Trials
will be written through Teneo. The NSC (National Senior Certificate) Final
Grade 12 exams are completed under the auspices of SACAI, an organisation
accredited to by The Department of Basic Education, and Umalusi. This
enables you to study further through a tertiary institute should you achieve
the required marks for a University Pass.
