‘Need to Knows’ to Break the World Record: 1 Wave Challenge

    • Wear your designated colored rash guard and ankle tag in the water at all times.
    • Rash guards are coordinated by color, so be sure to stay with your group in the water once the
          event begins.
    • Report to your Team Captain by 8:15 – they will be wearing the same color rash guard as you.
    • To enter the water, you will line up single file with your colored group. All surfers must step
across the mat through the inflatable arch. This will activate the number on your ankle tag to
record your participation for the potential world record.
    • Please stay in the water for the entire hour of the 1 Wave Challenge – the more surfers on each
wave, the better shot to break the world record!
    • When exiting the water, all surfers must step across the mat to conclude recording the event.
    • Remember, SOFT TOP BOARDS ONLY for the 1 Wave Challenge. If you need a soft top loaner
board, they are free of charge. Stop by the INT, Surf Diva, Everyday California, or Jr. Lifeguard
          locations near Vendor Village.
