THE BAY ROOM
WELCOME

Set right on the Mordialloc foreshore, SunnyBoy encompasses a
relaxed atmosphere, uninterrupted bay views and a fresh, honest
food philosophy.

Our stunning beach-front location is the perfect spot for drinks with
friends or special occasions dining and events. We offer guests a mix
of refreshing cocktails, hand selected wines, and beers by local
brewery 2Brothers. As for our menu it boasts fresh and locally
sourced produce, crafted by Head Chef Cam Moore.
THE BAY ROOM

Set at the far end of the function room, The Bay Room is our smaller
private dining space, cordoned off by a thick blockout curtain. With
wrap around windows overlooking the Mordialloc foreshore, the Bay
Room, is a wonderful setting for more intimate style events of up to
25 guests.

We can accommodate seated events, with a capacity of 25 people.

The Bay Room requires a minimum spend to be met, dependant on
day and time of your event.

Deposit
To confirm your booking in The Bay Room, we require a deposit of
20%

Menu selection
Your menu selection is due to be confirmed 10 days prior to your
event, if not received by this time a menu or package will be selected
for you.

Final Numbers
Final numbers for any packages must be confirmed 10 days prior to
the function date including all dietary requirements. Unfortunately,
no reduction in numbers will be accepted after this time.

Final Payment
Full payment of the greater of confirmed packages or minimum spend
must be made in full 10 days prior to the date of the function, either
by cash, credit card or bank transfer.

Cakeage
You are welcome to bring a celebratory cake. So we’re able to cater
for this including cutting, cutlery and serving, there will be a flat fee of
$40 for groups over 20. For groups under 20 - if you are happy to
serve the cake yourself we will provide plates and cutlery.

Damage to Venue
Any damage sustained to the venue by guests will be deemed the
responsibility of the host who will be financially liable for repairs. We
accept no liability for the damage or loss to guest’s property.

Responsible service of alcohol
Our team practises responsible service of alcohol and by law may
refuse alcohol to any guest who is deemed to be intoxicated and/or
disorderly. In addition, we reserve the right to ask guests to leave the
premises. A strict no BYO policy must be adhered to for all bookings.

Theming
We encourage any decorations and balloons for our private functions.
Any additional equipment, furniture or props, other than those
currently in the venue, must be confirmed with the function manager
prior to the date of the function. Any extra time for sourcing, setting
up or dismantling, prior to or after function, will incur an extra charge.

Music/Audio
On selected days/nights, we will have a live in-house DJ who will be
jamming and playing funky beats all night long. Our DJ and specially
selected audio on all other nights will be our only source of music
available throughout the venue.

Cancellations
If your event is unable to go ahead due to COVID-19 Government
restrictions, we will happily postpone your event to a future date
when functions are appropriate again. If you do not wish to postpone,
you will receive your deposit back in full, minus a $50 booking fee.
This fee is to contribute to time and efforts spent planning your event.

Our cancellation policy outside of our COVID-19 response as follows:

30 days or more notice: 100% refund of deposit (minus $50 booking
fee)
Between 29 and 15 days’ notice: 50% refund of deposit
Between 14 and 7 days’ notice: No refund on deposit
Less than 7 days: Full function payment due with no refund

Site inspection & Planning
Included in your event booking is one guided site inspection and
meeting of 15 minutes. For any additional onsite meetings requested
there is an additional charge of $25 per 15 minute meeting.

Once your event has been booked and confirmed we will contact you
approximately 2 weeks prior to your event to commence planning the
finer details. Due to the nature of the situation we are unable to
commence planning and liaison any earlier as restrictions my change
multiple times in the lead up to your event.

Hygiene & Social Distancing
It is a condition of entry that all guests must provide their contact
details for contact tracing. Guest data will be kept for no longer than
28 days before it is permanently deleted.

In line with current restrictions guests must remain seated at all
times. Guests who do not follow staff direction may be asked to leave
the venue.

If you or someone in your group tests positive for COVID-19 up to 14
days after you dine with us, please contact our events team
immediately so that we can make the appropriate notifications.

SunnyBoy will be adhering to government guidelines and placing
tables a minimum of 1.5 metres apart with stringent hygiene practices
throughout the venue. We ask our guests to apply the same level of
vigilance to their own personal hygiene, and to adhere to social
distancing guidelines to ensure the safety of our staff and other
guests.
