ON E- T O - O N E M E NT ORING
BBBS Miami’s signature programs are comprised of one-to-one
mentoring that strategically matches youth (Littles) with a
mentor (Big), who provides coaching, guidance and support.
Program models include community-based mentoring, School to
Work, and Bigs in Schools/Sites.
GR OUP M EN T O R I N G
Youth waiting to be matched with a Big, along with those already
matched, engage in enrichment activities that have impact(s) in one or
more of five key areas, known as the BIG5 – Academic Enrichment, Career
Pathways, Digital Literacy, Health & Wellness, and Music & the Arts.
C ONT I NU I NG E DUCA T ION
Littles engage in programs that prepare them for post-secondary
success, both while in high school and upon graduation. Programs
include college success coaching through Take Stock in Children, a
Graduate Program that provides ongoing mentorship match
support to alumni Littles and their Bigs, college and career
readiness workshops, and a scholarship program that awards
funding to Littles pursuing higher education.
A LUM N I A SSO C I A T I O N
Alumni programming engages individuals who were previously
a Big or a Little. Whether alumni were part of the program
five years ago or 50, they are part of a vast network that share the
impact of BBBS programs every day.
