First Sundayofof Easter–
Lent May10,
- March 5, 2019 5SPRING COLLECTION
As we enter the last quarter of our fiscal year, our Parish needs financial assistance with three key areas. Please consider
using the PINK ENVELOPES provided to help with these endeavors:
2019 SNOW AND TREE LIMB REMOVAL: This winter’s snow removal costs totaled $44,000. Additionally, one
of the storms caused extensive damage to the trees on Izzy’s property. The cost to remove the damaged limbs and
trees is $15,000. TOTAL EXPENSE: $59,000.
UPGRADE OF CHURCH LIGHTING TO LED: The technology of our current lighting is inefficient, outdated, and
difficult to maintain. Therefore the Maintenance Committee has recommended that the church lighting be upgraded to
LED technology. The investment in LED technology is preferred due to its environmental benefits and long-term cost
savings. LED products consume less electricity than traditional kinds of lighting. Additionally, due to the lightbulbs’ long-
lasting life (years vs. months), there will be cost savings in maintenance. TOTAL INVESTMENT: $30,000.
GUARDIAN ANGEL FUND: Holy Spirit parish assists
those who need help with School or School of Religion tuition.
Regardless of our stage in life, we are all called to carry out
the mission of the Church to educate future generations in the
Catholic Faith. To date, we have granted $116,272 in
assistance while only raising $39,424 through Gala and
Guardian Angel envelope donations.
TOTAL SHORTFALL: $76,848.
Please consider using the PINK ENVELOPES provided or
going to our website, www.hscatholic.org, to help us close
our funding gap.
