PATRIOTIC HEARTS FOR OUR MILITARY –
Other THIS IS OUR 6TH YEAR THANKS TO YOUR GIVING HEARTS!
Give your love, support and thanks to our military servicemen and
women this Valentine’s Day. Beginning Saturday, January 11, purchase
a $5.00 Starbuck’s gift card from the table we have set up in the
narthex. Gift cards were purchased through the Saint Paul SCRIP
program, so your contribution helps support our church and school as
well! We’ll provide a Valentine’s greeting card and you can write your
own message to a member of our military. The greeting card, gift card, and some candy will
ship in time for Valentine’s Day. The last day to participate will be Sunday, February 2.
Please stop by our table in the narthex and let your patriotic heart shine.
Also, if you have a family member or friend that is currently serving in the military or doing
missionary work throughout the world, please send their name and address to Wendy Reiner
at wreiner@wowway.com. We will send a Valentine’s greeting along with a gift card and
candy from Saint Paul as part of our Patriotic Hearts mission project.

our community. If you have ideas or would like to lead a project, please
contact Dari at the church office. We can add your project to our list, or
we can just add your hours and volunteers to our final tally! Events won’t
interfer with the Super Bowl, so you will still be able to watch the game!

or any who have a heart for this ministry, to contribute. If you know of someone who is in
need of food supplies, please let them know they can use our food pantry during church
service times or during the week by visiting the church office.

THANK YOU!
ANGEL TREE 2019 THANK YOU!
Brothers and
         Othersister of Saint Paul,
Our outreach to families within Prison Fellowship Ministries (Angel Tree) was miraculous! We
served 42 families, 75 children and 42 incarcerated individuals.
A special thank you to the Schreiners, the Kolesars, the Meiers, Maddie Van Horn, Judy
Strum and the Valencia family for delivering the gifts to the families. Thank you to Jamie
Gilmer for getting the ball rolling with initial letters. Finally, my deepest thanks to my sister
Jenny and my husband Dave for endless help with tags, organization and deliveries.
Our congregation as a whole is truly acting as the hands and feet of Jesus in this ministry.
We are blessed to have shared the news of salvation with love. – In Christ, Sue Fulton

end financials are still being finalized. An update will be provided as soon as
possible.

FISCAL YEAR ENDS DECEMBER 31, 2019
We will post year end contributions as follows:
 Contribution envelopes – the envelope you use will determine how your gift is
              recorded.
 Checks without envelopes - The date of your check will determine how your
gift is recorded. If dated as a December 2019 check and is received BY
Monday, January 6, 2020, it will go towards your 2019 contributions. If your
check is dated January 1, 2020 and forward, it will go towards your 2020
              contributions.
 Any check received after Monday, January 6, 2020, will be recorded as a 2020
              donation.
 For 2019 stock donations, the trade needs to be received by William Blair on or
              before December 31, 2019.

STOCK DONATIONS
We received an anonymous stock donation gift this past week. We would like to give thanks
to the party who gave this gift. If you made a stock donation in December, please contact
the church office.
Also, just a friendly reminder going forward, when giving a stock donation through William
Blair, please notify the church office of your donation so we can prepare the necessary tax
documents. Thank you!

FRIENDLY NOTE AS WE ENTER A NEW DECADE!
We heard of a very helpful hint and wanted to pass this information on to you!
When writing the date in 2020, write the year in its entirety. It could possibly protect you and
prevent legal issues on paperwork.
Example: If you just write 1/1/20, one could easily change it to 1/1/2017 (for instance) and
now your signature is on an incorrect document.

SCRIP
Physical Gift Card orders will begin again soon!
For now, here are two ways to keep using Shop with Scrip to earn money for Saint Paul:
    1) eGift cards
    2) Reload funds to your physical cards
