INTRODUCTORY MESSAGE

“ The University of London International Programmes is the world’s oldest provider of
degrees through flexible learning. Our internationally renowned awards have been
accessible to students across the world since 1858. Today, we are proud to have more
than 50,000 students in over 180 countries.

Teaching institutions have played a central role in the success of the University of
London International Programmes. Not only have they helped us realise our vision of
providing a life-changing, high quality university education to those who could benefit,
but they have also enhanced the learning experience of countless students.

In recognition of this important role, in 2009 we introduced the Teaching Institutions
Recognition Framework to formalise our relationships with teaching institutions. This
framework aims to create closer links with selected high quality teaching institutions
around the world, by recognising those that meet a set of specific quality criteria in
respect to the support they provide to International Programmes students.

SAA Global Education (formerly Singapore Accountancy Academy), the education arm of
the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) - Singapore's National Accountancy
Body - is an Affiliate Centre for the University of London International Programmes. This
means that in the considered view of the University of London it demonstrates commit-
ment to developing high standards in respect of teaching, support to students and
    administrative processes.

We are delighted that SAA-GE is a member of
our network of Recognised Centres and we
hope that being part of this network will
contribute to its ongoing development and
result in an even closer relationship with the
                                              University of London International Programmes.
Ultimately, this will help to ensure that
                                              International Programmes students at SAA-GE
have a high quality and rewarding learning
                                                                                                 “

universities, internationally recognised for its high academic standards. This reputation is based
on the outstanding teaching and research of its 18 world-class Colleges and 10 specialist institutes.

Since 1858, University of London degrees have been accessible to students all over the world
through the University of London International Programmes. Alumni of the University of London
International Programmes have gone on to shape our world. These include seven Nobel Prize
winners, leaders of Commonwealth countries, government ministers, renowned authors,

Academic direction for all of the programmes offered through the University of London International
Programmes is provided by Colleges of the University. Academics at these Colleges develop the
syllabuses, prepare the study materials, and are responsible for the assessment of students. This
means that students benefit from the academic rigour and leading-edge research undertaken by
the Colleges. It also helps to ensure that University of London qualifications are of the same high
academic standard, however they are achieved.

On successful completion of your studies you will be awarded a University of London degree or
diploma. The certificate you receive will state that you were registered with the University of
London and will include the name of the University of London College or Colleges that conducted

I am glad I made SAA Global Education my first choice mainly because of the great reputation
of the school. It is a leading school for accountancy and is affiliated to Institute of Singapore
Chartered Accountants, Singapore’s National Accountancy body. The great location of the City
Campus is a plus point too! SAA Global Education opened the door to my dream career.
