August 24, 2021COVID-19 Administrator’s Checklist:
Complete COVID-19 Contact Tracing Report for any confirmed positive employee or student at a campus.
Text brief update to area assistant superintendent and Marivel Macias (915)494-2010
Communicate Employee and/or Student COVID-19 Protocols with faculty and staff and provide them guidance and
updates throughout the contact tracing investigation.
We received a report of a COVID-19 positive individual on campus
We are actively cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting
Human Resources (if employee) or Campus Nurse (if student) is in the process of contact tracing.
A close contact will be directly contacted with next steps.
Once the investigation is complete, the Principal will update script template and send notification via email and phone call
to all campus faculty, staff and parents.
This transparent information mitigates the spread of COVID-19 and allows each person the information to make personal
decisions based on their level of comfort to continue to keep themselves and others healthy.
Offer to setup Rapid Testing Site
Coordinate and communicate with campus head custodian to ensure the cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting of
specific and frequently touched areas.
Update Script Template, Send call out and email to all campus faculty, staff and students’ parents.
Send confirmation email to Marivel Macias and CC Cabinet when email and phone call has been sent.
Ensure student has at-home work assignments within 24 hours of quarantine.

September 6thFace Masks and Coverings
o Students, staff and visitors must wear a face mask
indoors.
o Teaching and reinforcement of the proper use of a
face mask should be provide to students and staff:

o The mask must be worn over your nose, under
your chin, and don’t forget to tuck it in.
o Mask Frustration
o Face masks should only be handled by the ear loops.
o Hand hygiene should be implemented before, during
and after using the face mask.
o Face masks are not required outdoors.

When alone When working independently (if possible, without talking) When outside When eating and for additional precaution utilize a desk protective divider Remind students to drink plenty of water Always sanitize surfaces before and after a face mask break Schedule periodic mask breaks for students throughout the day and allow students to request an additional mask break when needed.
Student Code of Conduct
Socorro ISD shall comply with State and City orders and guidance for return to
school, to include Social Distancing and other Public Health Interventions, set forth
by the City of El Paso Department of Public Health (DPH) Local Health Authority
during the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency. (p. 53)
Level 1: Offenses Where Administrative Action is Discretionary (p. 65)
1. Being insubordinate
2. Violating Safety Rules
Level 1: Disciplinary Procedures (p. 65)
Intervention should be immediate and consistent and should be handled by the teacher,
paraprofessional, clerk, campus patrol, or administrator who observes the misbehavior. For classroom
Misbehavior the teacher shall maintain a record of offenses and disciplinary actions. The teacher may
send written notification to the parent. Repeated violations shall result in a more severe response and/or
referral to Level II. The principal/ campus behavior coordinator may determine that Level II disciplinary

Vaccinations / Contact Tracing Conversations:
“We want to ensure that we do our part to mitigate the spread of COVID19
within our SISD campuses/facilities. Your response to the following questions
is voluntary. The information gathered is for contact tracing purposes and will
be kept confidential.”

Vaccination/Contact Tracing Conversations during the COVID-19 Public Health
Emergency:
- Mitigate the spread of COVID-19 within SISD campuses/facilities
- Response to any questions is voluntary
- Information gathered is confidentialCOVID-19 Positive Individual on Campus or SISD Facility:
Four Levels of communication and transparency:
1. Personal call to all individuals deemed as High-Risk Exposures/Close Contacts (less than
6ft. for more than 15minutes) by campus nurse (i.e. students) or human resources
(i.e. employees).
2. Automated call and email to all campus/facilities stakeholders (faculty, staff, and parents).
3. Exposure Notice sent home to parents of elementary students that attend the same
classroom as COVID-19 positive individual.
4. All confirmed COVID-19 Cases (student and employee) are reported weekly to TEA and
updated/posted on our SISD Tracker.
2021-2022 Back to School / COVID-19 Cases (sisd.net)Health department/Covid team came in during dismissal. 1. They asked to speak to Principal or nurse 2. They are asking more questions about employee contact tracing more than students. 3. Everything you went over in the meeting They asked. 4. They did not ask to tour it was just questions and answers. 5. Asking for # of COVID quarantined (close contact) not just positives and wanted to know positives for employees and students. 6. Process for employees that are positive on site or close contacts. 7. The compliment our covid emergency bags found in every hallway and monitors (thermometer, face masks, shields, kids masks, adult masks, hands, sanitizer, N95s) 8. They complimented our COVID response team. 9. They asked if we use an outsource professional disinfecting team. We said no but our custodians are professionally trained to sanitize using the sanitizing gun. He said we were the first campus to respond this way.

Front desk personnel request the following:

2. Purpose for the visit
3. Show ID to the video system

*** No business identification to gain entry to the facility
4. If visitor is not wearing a face mask, refer to the City of El Paso Indoor Mask
