School Administration / Student Supervision
The administration (principal and/or assistant principals) of each school is responsible for crowd management and
the supervision of students at all tournament games. Students must be under adult supervision at all times.
Administrators are to check in with game management and give a cell phone number so they can be reached
immediately if necessary. School resource officers which accompany schools should also check in with game
management.
Covid-19
All school personnel, team members, coaches, bus drivers, and managers will need to fill out the symptom checklist form and
do temperature checks before getting on the bus at your school. Soccer equipment needs to be completely sanitized before
leaving your school. Make sure school fans wear facial coverings and social distance.

Tie Game Procedure
If teams are tied at the end of regulation play, the overtime procedure will be as follows: a 10-minute maximum
"sudden victory" overtime period will be played. The game concludes when a goal is scored. If no goal is scored prior
to the conclusion of the 10-minute period, a second 10 minute maximum "sudden victory" period will be played. If at
the conclusion of the second "sudden victory" overtime period, no goal has been scored, the game will move into a
shootout to determine the winner. Shootout procedures are outlined in items 3, 4 & 5 one pages 82-83 of the NFHS
Soccer Rules Book.
Jerseys
In accordance with rule, the designated home team will wear dark jerseys. The designated visiting team will wear
solid white jerseys.
Prohibited Items, No Banners or Signs
With the exception of UHSAA corporate sponsors, there are to be no banners or signs of any kind displayed at the
state tournament. One school flag, designated and controlled by school administration, will be allowed at the State
Tournament. It may be mobile if it does not disrupt spectators and remains on the sidelines nearest the school’s
section. Please refer to the UHSAA Handbook http://uhsaa.org/news/StateEventGuidelines.pdf for other items that
are not allowed at the soccer state tournament. Stadiums prohibit additional items, please see the list below.
Prohibited Items
• Weapons of any kind including, but not limited to, knives, pepper spray, stun guns, concealed weapons and
   firearms
• Fireworks of any kind including, but not limited to, flares, smoke bombs, incendiary devices and pyrotechnics
   Illegal drugs or harmful chemicals
• Any missile or projectile like object
• Aerosol cans or pressurized containers
• Professional camera equipment; tripods, battery packs, large commercial video cameras
• Laser pointers
• Remote controlled aircraft (drones)
• Bottles, cans, coolers, containers or food or beverage of any kind (with the exception of 1 empty water bottle per
   person)
• Plastic horns, air horns, whistles, vuvuzelas
• Pets (with the exception of service dogs) – Beginning on March 15, 2011, only dogs are recognized as service
   animals under titles II and III of the ADA
• Confetti Canisters

Tickets
Student ticket prices are $5.00 and adults are $10.00 for semi-finals and finals. Tickets will be ONLINE ONLY AND YOU
MUST BUY A PARKING PASS WITH YOUR TICKET IF YOU ARE DRIVING TO RIOTINTO!!

Everyone must have a ticket including bus drivers, photographers, cheerleaders, etc.
Spectator Gates/Box Office Open 1 Hour Prior to the Initial Game
No spectators will be admitted more than 1 hour prior to the scheduled first game at each site. Spectators in the
facility earlier than 1 hour prior to scheduled start time for the first game will be asked to re-enter through the ticket
gates.
Game Balls
Game balls will be furnished for the semi-finals and finals by                     Teams must furnish their own warm-up
balls for all games.
Warm-up
For the first game scheduled at each site the field will be available for warm-up 1 hour prior to the scheduled game
time. There will be a minimum 15 minute warm up period on the field between the other games at Juan Diego, Jordan,
and Herriman. At Rio Tinto Stadium, the minimum warm-up on the field will be 20 minutes. Games will not begin
earlier than scheduled.
Team Benches
Team Benches for all Semi-Finals & Finals will be (35). This does include coaches. The designated home teams will occupy
the bench on the west side of the field; the visiting team will be on the opposite side. On a field where teams are seated on the
same side of the field, the home team will occupy the bench to the left (when looking onto the field from the team area) of the
substitution area; the visiting team will occupy the opposite team area.
Team Admission
Team members will not need passes to enter the stadium. Teams must enter the team gate all at once.
Ball Holders
For semi-finals and finals, each team must furnish at least three ball-holders. Ball-holders must check-in with the
referee immediately following the pre-game conference for station assignment.
Scoreboard / Game Time
Official game time will be kept on the stadium scoreboard for semifinals and finals.
Starting Line-up
Teams will provide a full roster which also indicates the starting line-up to the press box 20 minutes prior to the
game.
Bus Parking
Juan Diego: Team Buses will enter the campus either from 300 East from the south or 11800 South from the north.
The road in front of Soaring Eagle Stadium is gated off both on the north and south. A Juan Diego staff member will be
stationed at both of these entrances and will open the gates to let buses in and close them behind the bus. Buses will
drop the teams off and park in this gated area. The only vehicles that are allowed to park in the gated area are team
buses and police vehicles.

At Rio Tinto Stadium
Team Buses: Team buses will drop off teams and park in the dock area immediately south of the stadium. The
entrance road to the dock area is accessed from 94th South.
Student Buses: Student buses will drop off students at the north load zone and park and pick up students on North
Stadium Way (road immediately north of the stadium).

Fan Parking at Juan Diego for Semifinals
Parking for fans is located in the regular school lots. Please follow posted and marked parking restrictions. Main
parking lot is to the south of the school.

Fan Parking at Herriman High School for Semifinals
Parking for soccer will be in the N school parking lot at the NE side including the tennis courts Buses drop players off
at main entrance into the stadium on the NW side and park in the tennis parking lot.

Fan Parking at Rio Tinto Stadium
On-site parking will be $5.00 per vehicle. The stadium is within walking distance of both the 90th South and 94th
South TRAX stations. Fans are encouraged to use TRAX as much as possible. No Parking in Jordan Commons (except
for restaurant patrons), STRICTLY NO PARKING in residential neighborhoods, vehicles will be subject to citation.
Water for Teams
Teams will provide their own water. Any liquid other than plain water (Gatorade, Powerade, etc.) must be kept
entirely off of the playing surfaces at all times. NO containers are to be dumped on the playing surface at any time.

TEAMS WILL CLEAN UP THEIR BENCH / TEAM AREA IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THEIR GAME.
DO NOT DUMP OUT WATER, ICE, SPORTS DRINKS, ETC. ANYWHERE ON THE PLAYING SURFACE
OR SIDELINES.

Please take care of the host facilities. Do not abuse our privileges there; we will want to use them
again!
