Main Responsibilities
   • Assisting a Dunlop Series Team with the servicing of a V8 Supercars
   • Assisting a Dunlop Series Team with Pit Lane logistics
   • General duties - including race tyre maintenance, garage and paddock set up, unloading and
       loading of transporters

Desired Qualities
   • Enthusiastic and outgoing individual with an interest in the automotive industry
   • Studying an automotive course or similar at TAFE

Student Placement: Hospitality Assistant
Available Placements: 3
Placement Dates: Thursday the 30th July to Sunday the 2nd of August.
Required Hours Friday 31st July- TBA
                         Saturday 1st August- TBA
                         Sunday 2nd August - TBA
Attire: Students need to be well presented as they will be dealing with corporate guests. Black pants
(or black knee length business skirt for the ladies), business shirt (White or black), black closed toe
shoes – smart casual business attire. No jeans, t-shirts, caps etc.
Additional: Lunch to be provided each day.

Main Responsibilities
   • Assisting corporate suite hosts with checking in clients
   • Applying wristbands
   • Marking off seating allocation
   • Liaising with caterers
   • Providing information to clients
   • Assisting clients with any special requirements

Desired Qualities
   • Enthusiastic and outgoing individual with an interest in sports business.
   • Studying a business/hospitality course or similar at TAFE.

Department: Event Operations
Student Placement: Event Operations Assistant.
Available Placements: 2
Placement Dates: Thursday the 30th July to Sunday the 2nd of August.
Required Hours:
         Thursday 30th July: Briefing: 5:30pm, Location TBA
         Friday 31st July: 9:00am to 5pm
         Saturday 1st August: 10am to 6pm
         Sunday 2nd August: 10am to 6pm
Attire: Please wear dark colored long pants or jeans, a navy blue or dark colored polo shirt and
comfortable closed-in shoes. Hat and sunscreen recommended. Ideally bring minimal belongings to
the site.
A bum bag or similar may be useful for carrying valuable items on person.
Additional: Lunch and water to be provided each day. Additional refreshments are available for
purchase onsite.

Main Responsibilities
   • Assisting with the operational delivery of the event
   • Tasks will include assisting with accreditation, signage installation and dismantle,
       coordination of entertainment, ticket checking and ushering, general operational duties
   • Volunteers will shadow an event staff member and participate in various briefings

Desired Qualities
   • Enthusiastic and outgoing individual with an interest in sports/event industry.
   • Studying a business course or similar at TAFE.
   • Manual Driver’s License (preferred but not essential).
   • These roles will involve moderate physical activity (walking across the site, carrying small
       items, putting up and pulling down signage)

Department: Television
Student Placement: Production Runner
Available Placements: 1
Placement Dates: Thursday the 30th of July to Sunday 2nd of August.
Required Hours: Approximately 8am to 5pm each day (hours will vary depending on schedule
times)
Attire: Please wear black long pants/jeans and comfortable closed-in shoes (runners are fine). You
will be provided with a V8 Supercars Crew Polo and Cap.
Additional: Lunch & Drinks to be provided from Thursday through Sunday.

Main Responsibilities
   • Assist and support our production team before, during and after the race.
   • Assist with a range of production tasks including but not limited to meeting prep, running,
       arranging accreditation, passing out crew uniforms,
   • Catering delivery & offsite race suit dry cleaning
   • There are times that V8 Media may also need assistance collecting/dropping camera men
       from around the track.
   • As you can imagine the tasks can vary from day to day and minute to minute but it is a great
       way to get them behind the scenes and a part of a production teams live broadcast.

Desired Qualities
   • Essential: Driver’s License.
   • Enthusiastic and outgoing individual with an interest in the production of live sport.
   • Studying a media/communications/business course or similar at TAFE.

   • Assisting the Media Centre Manager with requirements
   • Supporting and assisting the roll out of the V8 Supercars Autograph Session
   • Supporting and assisting the roll out of the Dunlop Series Autograph Session
   • General Communications/PR support and assisting duties.

   • Assisting with the delivery of V8 Supercars website and social media platforms across the
       event weekend
   • Supporting and assisting the Digital Manager with content across the weekend. Eg. Social
       media/photography
   • General digital support and assisting duties.

Student Placement: Marketing Assistant – Marketing Department.

Placement Dates: Friday the 31th July to Sunday the 2nd of August.

Main Responsibilities
   • Assist with the delivery of promotional prizing deliverables during the event
   • Assist with the roll out of communications during the event
   • Work with the On Track Commentary team to roll out key messages
   • General Marketing support and assisting duties.

Desired Qualities
   • Enthusiastic, hardworking, can-do attitude.
   • Good verbal communication skills.
   • Excellent attention to detail.
   • Studying a communications/marketing or similar at TAFE.
   • Able to thrive in a fast paced and often physical (lots of walking and some lifting of boxes,
       poster packing etc.) working environment
   • Able to follow instructions in a timely manner

Department: Team Medical Australia
Student Placement: Medical Assistant
Available Placements: 4 people per day
Placement Dates: Wednesday July 31st – Sunday August 2nd. Training session 1530 on Thursday 30th.

Required Hours:
Attire: Tafe Polo Shirt. Closed shoes. Long pants. A fire-resistant race suit will be provided for use in
“on-track areas”.

Additional:
Each day, their role will mainly be observational and assisting in the assessment and treatment of
patients (drivers, pit crew and officials).

Main Responsibilities
   • Observation of current motor sports trauma assessment and management
   • Assisting in the assessment of patients (with direct supervision)
   • Observing/assisting in the treatment of patients

Learning Outcomes
    • Develop an understanding of contemporary trauma management
    • Apply current trauma management concepts to the motor sports arena
    • Develop and understanding of the unique aspects of the pre-hospital care of patients,
        including in the context of motor sport
    • Observe and understand the logistics and safety requirements of motor sports

Desired Qualities
    • Assumed knowledge – current Basic Life Support and First Aid
    • Understanding of how to perform a focused patient assessment in the context of an injury or
        trauma
    • Self aware and safety focused
    • Interest in trauma management and pre-hospital care
    • Interest in V8 Supercars and/or motor sport
