Wednesday’s SPAG: Orange, Yellow, Blue & Green Groups
WALT: deepen our understanding of subordinate conjunctions.
1) Watch the teaching video with Mrs Purshall on Seesaw and join in with the activities.

2) Watch the grammarsaurus subordinate conjunctions song.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FK2Gyto5gTQ Listen carefully to the words – you can
even sing along! For those of you that also fancy a boogie, try joining in with this dance
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fNGFSG-gHA (while singing along of course).

3) Complete your group’s activities and post them on Seesaw.
Orange: Just label the subject and verb of each clause and the subordinating conjunction.
Yellow & Green: Label the subjects, verbs and conjunctions. Then label main and
subordinate clauses.
Blue: Label the subjects, verbs and conjunctions. Then label main and subordinate clauses.
Also, try to change the order of the clauses by starting with the subordinating clause.
e.g. He wore a sun hat because it was sunny. -> Because it was sunny, he wore a sunhat.

3) Complete your daily handwriting. (See separate Seesaw activity.) Watch the video and
then practice the join.
