Home - School Connection
● We strive for a partnership with all families. Your support of your child’s education greatly
impacts his/her progress. Reading with your child every night is a great way to grow your
  young learner.
● Families and the school communicate through multiple means, including emails, newsletters,
notes home, and through our MOOSE planner.
● We ask that families check the MOOSE planner each night for information from your child’s
  teacher.
Kindergarten Report Card and Reading 3D Information
● Students in Kindergarten participate in the Reading 3D assessment which measures their literacy
skills, including phonics and comprehension. This is a one-on-one assessment that gives teachers
and families data to better support our young learners.
● Report cards in Kindergarten are skills-based. Students receive a 1, 2, or 3 on learning objectives
in content areas, social skills, and work habits. Students who earn 2.5 or better in reading and
math are promoted to Grade 1.
