HUSKY HELPING HANDS FUND
This fund is established to provide emergency
support for North High School students when
extenuating circumstances arise that may
inhibit their learning. Emergency needs may include but are
not limited to: Lunch passes, clothing & toiletries,
transportation, etc. The goal is to see this fund endowed before
the start of the 2021-22 school year this fall. That’s only $9500.
Thank you to John and Sara (above) Griffin for donating
clothes to the Husky Galleria (again)! We appreciate your
support of our North Programs and Community. We also
received a donation from Plato’s Closet at the end of summer.
HUSKY GALLERIA
Husky Galleria is a place where new and gently used items
(jackets, clothes, shoes, undergarments, socks, swimsuits,
hygiene products, etc.) can be donated for North students.
These items are redistributed to new owners free of charge.
This is available to any North student. For more information, to
make clothing requests, or to make donations, please contact
Molly Thorp (715)852-6873 or mthorp@ecasd.us. Thank you
to Plato’s Closet for donating 2 bags of clothing to the Husky
Galleria last week. We are extremely grateful for your
ongoing partnership.
NORTH SCHOOL STORE – TO BE NAMED LATER
We are excited to announce that North High School has a new school store!
Mr. Logan Horn and his Marketing II class are working on gathering
inventory and setting up! The new school store is in the main office (former
Attendance area). More information coming

In the meantime, if you have any hangers to
donate, that would be greatly appreciated. You

NORTH ALUMNI NEWS
Connecting our past with our future for a strong Husky
Community.
During the summer we were super lucky to receive a visit from
Anita Harvey ’72, and Vader, Anita’s black lab service dog. Anita
received a tour of North High School, and we received a history
lesson about what has changed throughout the last (almost) 50
years.
Anita Harvey has made several monetary donations to North High School over the past few
years. She most recently sent a selection of gift cards to Kohl’s and Target to share with students.
We greatly appreciate her generosity and support!
Once a Husky, always a Husky!

THANK YOU FOR THE DONATIONS
Thank you to the anonymous donor who dropped off facial tissues for our
North staff. Your generosity is truly appreciated! We also want to thank
Festival Foods for donating a large supply of facial tissues to ECASD.
Thank you, also, to Brady and Jeanne Foust for donating 10 TI-84 Plus CE
Color Graphic calculators to the North Math Department. This is the second
calculator donation from this family.
FESTIVAL FOODS DONATION
Thank you to Festival Foods for donating facial tissues to ECASD. On the right
is Tyler Bruns, ’21 North graduate and manager at Festival Foods, along with
Jeff Nestor, Interim Director and Facilities Planning Manager. The tissues
have been distributed to all ECASD school buildings. Thanks again, Festival
Foods!
THANK YOU FOR THE FOOD PANTRY DONATION
Thank you to North Parent, Briana Hutman, for donating a large selection
of protein/granola bars, cereal, cake mixes and bread mixes to the
North Food Pantry.
The North Food Pantry is currently located in the Husky WearHouse.
This year we are going to focus on sending meal-type items homes with
students for the weekends. We’d also like to start offering students gift cards to local eating
establishments for weekend meals.
If you would like to donate gift cards and/or money, please email jpatenaude@ecasd.us. Look for more
information about this, as well as about our team of student volunteers this year. I’m always amazed at
how many returning and new students are interested in helping our Husky Community!
Husky
WearHouse
The Husky WearHouse received several donations over the summer! Thank
you to everyone who supports this program! We’ve already had several students interested in shopping in the WearHouse this
year and it’s wonderful to have so many items to offer them!
WHAT IS THE HUSKY WEARHOUSE?
The Husky WearHouse provides all students the opportunity to wear North High School apparel because when students feel
included and connected to school, they are more likely to participate in the school community and achieve success.
WHERE IS THE HUSKY WEARHOUSE?
The Husky WearHouse is located up the first set of steps leading to the auditorium at the
front of North High School. It is open at least one hour every day.
It is open during the day for students to shop. Students receive a “Husky WearHouse
Ticket” from a teacher and/or counselor to choose a North apparel item from the
WearHouse.

strong school community.”
