University of Texas at Austin!
It has been the pleasure of the team at the IC2 Institute, The
University of Texas at Austin, to work together with our partners,
the Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS) of the Government
of Andhra Pradesh, and the Federation of Indian Chambers of
Commerce and Industry (FICCI), over the past 18 months in the
establishment of XLr8 Andhra Pradesh Technology Business
Accelerator in the temple town of Tirupati.
It is hard to believe that we have already wrapped up four
cohorts, and that 132 companies have been touched in a
significant way by our program and unique methodology. Since
joining us, the companies in our portfolio have achieved in excess
of US$3.4 million in incremental revenue, in the process creating
over 1,000 employment opportunities, including paid internship
programs for students allowing next-generation entrepreneurs to
experience high-impact entrepreneurship “from the inside,”
working with real startups solving real societal and business
challenges through innovation.
The success of this program so far is a true testament to
collaboration and partnership. The winners are the participating
companies and the State of Andhra Pradesh.
We look forward to commencing Phase 2 of this initiative very
soon.

Message
The XLr8 Andhra Pradesh Technology Business Accelerator is a
continuation of the decade-long partnership between the
Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and
the IC2 Institute of the University of Texas at Austin, built on
creating successful high-impact entrepreneurial ventures across
India. It has been an honour to expand that partnership, joining
with the Innovation Society of the Government of Andhra Pradesh
in the creation of a one-of-a-kind center of excellence dedicated
to helping to realise the vision of the Hon. Chief Minister
N. Chandrababu Naidu of achieving "one entrepreneur per
family" in the Sunrise State. I congratulate the cross-
organizational team at XLr8 Andhra Pradesh in Tirupati for the
outstanding results with entrepreneurs of first phase - XLr8
Andhra Pradesh.
