About Us Our History, Your Legacy When you join the HoneyBaked family, you join a renowned legacy of high-quality food and exceptional service. We’ve been serving America’s favorite holiday meal for as long as we’ve been owned and operated by the Hoenselaar family – since our founding over 60 years ago. Where We Come From In Detroit in the 1940s, our founder Harry Hoenselaar designed, built and patented the world’s first spiral slicing machine to take on the difficult work of carving bone-in smoked hams. In 1957, he opened the first Honey Baked Ham Co.® store, selling his delicious, high-quality, spiral sliced hams. And in doing so, he laid the foundation for the standards of innovation and quality we hold ourselves to today. Where We Are Now Today, The Honey Baked Ham Co.® continues to honor Harry’s legacy at over 400 locations across the United States – and counting. Our beloved products, like our signature sweet-glazed Honey Baked Hams, are part of a growing, expertly curated menu of family favorites that elevate any occasion.

Your Ownership Role
As a HoneyBaked franchisee, you’ll be both owner and operator of your own small business. You’ll have to spend
time and effort working in your store and on your store to make sure it meets our standards and requirements.

and architectural services, equipment planning and sourcing, construction bid reviews, and general
contractor support to help you build the perfect store to suit your community.
Honey Baked Ham Co.® stores are built to meet the needs of their location and the surrounding
community, but our ideal store looks like this:

• Dine-in tables for 12-20 people
We have multi-unit and single-unit
• Enough prep space for a 15-to-20-person glazing team ownership opportunities in growth
• Office space markets all over the country.
