Welcome to Ramside Hall
Hotel & Golf Club
Formerly the home of the Pemberton family, Ramside Hall was
transformed into a hotel in 1963.
Whilst the tradition of good value and a personal welcome remains,
Ramside is proud to be the largest privately-owned luxury hotel in
County Durham and the North East.
Set within gorgeous gardens and its own Golf Course, it is a picture
perfect setting for your wedding.

At Ramside Hall Hotel we believe that your wedding day should be as trouble free and
relaxed as possible. Our dedicated team have the knowledge, experience, flair and the
personal touch to guide you through every step of planning your happy day, taking great
pride in ensuring that the day exceeds your expectations.
Whether you’re planning a small, intimate wedding or a large-scale celebration, we have
just the suite to suit you. Wedding ceremonies may also be conducted in our Hotel Suites,
accommodating up to 500 guests.

Civil Ceremonies & Partnerships
Ramside Hall Hotel is licensed for Civil Marriages and Civil Partnership Ceremonies in
our Fountain Room, Ballroom and Bishops Suite.

Function Suites
Bishops Suite
With its own dedicated entrance and large reception area resplendent with a magnificent
Austrian Crystal Chandelier creating a spectacular welcome for all your guests.
Consisting of the Neville, Beaumont and Hatfield Suites, the multiple configurations for this room
make the possibilities endless. The combination of suites can seat from 80 to 400 for the wedding
breakfast and up to 500 for the evening reception.
The Ballroom
Our beautiful chandeliered ballroom is the traditional wedding venue, offering its own private
reception area, built-in stage and dance floor. We can accommodate from 80 to 180 for the
Wedding Breakfast and up to 250 for the Evening Reception.
Summer Marquee
We have a fully-lined Marquee during the summer months from May until mid September.
The Marquee offers direct access into our gardens for your drinks reception and photographs.
Lined with Champagne coloured silk and dressed with trellising, this is the perfect venue for a
midsummer wedding, whether you choose a formal meal, summer BBQ or evening reception.
Fountain Room
An ideal location for Civil Ceremonies and smaller weddings, the Fountain Room is traditionally
decorated and enjoys views over our delightful garden. The Fountain Room can accommodate a
minimum of 45 up to a maximum of 60 guests for the Wedding Breakfast.
Green Room
Makes the perfect venue for the more intimate Wedding Breakfast, can accommodate a minimum
of 10 up to a maximum of 30 guests.
Clubhouse
Located within the hotel grounds, the Golf Clubhouse is the perfect party venue.
Catering for numbers of up to 120 guests with informal seating, dance floor and private bar
facilities.

Food & Beverage
We know that your wedding is a very special and personal occasion, therefore our food
and beverage menus are suggestions. Should you prefer or have a special dish that is a
favourite to you both, we are more than happy to adapt our menus to suit.

14~ Chapter Six ~
Accomodation
We have 80 bedrooms and special accommodation rates are available for your
guests. The demand for bedrooms is high therefore we ask you to check availability
of bedrooms at the time of making your provisional booking.
We do not automatically book any accommodation for your wedding guests,
however a complimentary deluxe bedroom will be booked for the Bride and Groom,
on the night of the wedding.
In addition to the hotel bedrooms, the Ramside Farmhouse, built in the early
1800's, provides five bedrooms, sleeping 10 people. We can accommodate a
combination of five twin rooms or three double and two twin rooms. The house has
all the facilities of a modern home for your comfort- with a traditional Aga cooker,
washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, fridge and freezer.
There is also a raised patio area with barbecue overlooking the walled garden and
extra beds and cots can be provided. An excellent facility for your wedding guests.

16~ Chapter Seven ~
Booking Procedure
We can provisionally hold a date for a maximum of 14 days with no obligation;
this will allow you time to check with all relevant authorities and necessary
suppliers to ensure their availability. We will send you a letter along with a
wedding contract to confirm we are holding the date.
In order to confirm your booking, we would require a non-refundable deposit of
£750, along with the signed wedding contract.
We will contact you approximately four months prior to your wedding in order
to arrange an appointment to meet with your wedding planner and discuss your
food and beverage choices. After this meeting we will prepare an estimated cost
for your day. The balance will be due 28 days prior to the wedding, final numbers
for catering charges are due to the hotel 7 days prior.
