Outdoor Leadership
Glenorchy’s Outdoor Leadership class travelled up to the Walls of
Jerusalem last week for a three-day hike. The trail started out with
a devastating uphill section that had us all sweating but once we
reached the top of the plateau the boys cruised all the way to Dixon’s
Kingdom campsite below Mount Jerusalem. A group of brave pos-
sums threatened all of our food, but only Ella Kirk’s banana was lost.
Day two involved climbing Mount Jerusalem and Solomon’s Throne,
before stopping for a quick photo op at the Pools of Bethesda.

The students were so quick over the first two days that we were able
to squeeze Arm River Falls, where we were fortunate enough to see a
wild platypus, and Liffey Falls also on the final day.
