Classical concert at Sao Francisco Church

                                                                                    Sao Francisco Church, whose construction began in the 14th
                                                                                    century, is the city’s most important Gothic temple and one of
                                                                                    the most important works of the Baroque, thanks to its gilded
                                                                                    interior from the 17th and 18th centuries. It was the exuberance
                                                                                    of its gilded woodcarving that led Count Raczinsky to describe
                                                                                    it as the “Church of Gold.” It has been a National Monument
                                                                                    since 1910 and a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage since 1996.

                                                                                    The string quartet Arc’duto, accompanied by a soprano and a
                                                                                    baritone, will perform the most emblematic works of various
                                                                                    periods in the history of music, beginning with the Baroque,
