Winefest is one of the most highly anticipated wine events in Alberta, offering
consumers the opportunity to sample hundreds of red, white, port, sparkling,
fruit, fortified and dessert wines from the world’s most celebrated wine
regions, as well as a tasty selection of hors d’oeuvres.

Industry & Trade Each year, Winefest hosts a Private Industry & Trade Tasting, providing exhibitors the opportunity to network exclusively with Industry members. This year, over 370 qualified members attended the private sessions in Calgary and Edmonton to meet with local wine agents and winery representatives. Words from Industry attendees: “Love this event for my business. It really does give me a cutting edge on working with my customers. It also gives me the advantage on knowing what is current and trending in the industry. Thank you for giving us this great avenue to resource.” “I would like to continue to go to all of these events. They are helpful in growing our business.”
2020 Event Marketing Each year, the Festival puts together a fresh marketing and advertising program to re-target previous costumers and attract new ones. Some of the 2020 components are listed below: Event Database Event emails were sent to roughly 50,000 consumers promoting event features, exhibitors and sponsors. Social Media Winefest holds a significant presence on social media with over 4,500 followers on Facebook and over 4,100 followers on Instagram. Winefest also created a dedicated social media advertising campaign on Facebook and Instagram. Winefest partnered with local social media influencers to spread the word online and create buzz around the event. Print Advertising Winefest ads were placed in Avenue Magazine. Radio Advertising Winefest advertised with the most popular radio stations in Calgary and Edmonton including AMP Radio, and XL 103 (Calgary) and CISN Country (Edmonton).
