2020 MELBOURNE FLOWER SHOW with Penny Hegarty
25th – 29th March 2020
$1998 Per Person Twin Share - $395 Single Supplement
Based on a minimum of 20 passengers, tour price valid for travel in 2020

Day 1 Wednesday 25th Dinner
This morning after our transfers from the Sunshine Coast we arrive at the Brisbane Domestic Airport for our
flight to Melbourne. On arrival we meet our local coach captain to board our coach for transfers into the city.
We have time to purchase lunch before boarding our Yarra River Highlights Cruise. This informative cruise
takes us through Melbourne’s picturesque gardens, parklands and some of our famous sporting arenas. We
arrive at our accommodation later in the afternoon for check- in; dinner is served in the hotel’s restaurant.
Overnight: Parkview Hotel St. Kilda
Day 2 Thursday 26th Breakfast
Today we make our way to the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show which is held at the Royal
Exhibition Building & Carlton Gardens. Australia’s top landscape designers are responsible for the breathtaking
“Show Gardens”. The Royal Exhibition Building turns into the Great Hall of Flowers for the 5 days, a glorious
and vibrant exhibition from Victoria’s leading florists and floral designers. The show comes alive with
roving entertainment throughout the Carlton Gardens and the Royal Exhibition Building. Plants, flowers along
with garden sculptures are available for purchase, the perfect day for garden lovers. Dinner tonight is at own
expense.

Day 3 Friday 27th Breakfast & Dinner
This morning we travel north to Strathmerton to explore Australia’s largest cactus collection. Established
on twelve acres Cactus Country offers a unique experience with more than 4,000 species of cacti and
succulents from around the globe. With eight different trails exploring our garden is a plant lover’s dream.
There is also Cactus Farmer Jim’s valley of hybrid giants which is not to be missed. Plant guide books are
available for those interested in learning about the beautiful plants. Great coffee and lunches (own expense)
are available at the onsite restaurant. After our visit we board our coach and make our way back to St. Kilda in
time for dinner in the hotel’s restaurant.

Day 4 Saturday 28th Breakfast & Dinner
After breakfast breakfast we depart for the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. On arrival in Belgrave we board
the famous Puffing Billy for a journey on Australia’s oldest surviving preserved steam railway. Puffing Billy
which was built to serve at the turn of the century is an historic steam train still running regularly in the
mountain district. After disembarking we travel by coach through Monbulk to the quaint village of Sassafras.
We have free time to purchase lunch and explore the specialty shops including the two Tea Leaves shops with
the largest range of teas and teapots in and around Melbourne. We now make our way to the NationalDay 4 Cont.
Rhododendron Garden with time to wander through brilliantly coloured blooms including Rhododendrons,
Azaleas and Camellias. Next stop is one of the Dandenong’s most inspiring and tranquil places, William
Ricketts Sanctuary. Later this afternoon we arrive back at our accommodation before transferring to Crown
Melbourne Casino for dinner with free time for a flutter. This complex covers two city blocks and well worth
exploring.

Day 5 Sunday 29th Breakfast
We check out of our hotel after breakfast and travel to Queen Victoria Markets for shopping before transferring
to the Melbourne Domestic Airport for our flight to Brisbane. On arrival we are transferred back to the Sunshine
Coast after a wonderful five day Melbourne adventure.

HOW TO CONFIRM YOUR PLACE ON THE TOUR
A $200.00 deposit will be required for this tour by nominated deposit date.
Payment of your deposit and the signed booking form will secure your place on the tour and you will receive confirmation
in writing. For bookings made within 60 days, full payment is required immediately. If payment is not received by the
due date, Travman Tours reserves the right to cancel your place on the tour and you will incur cancellation fees.
CHANGES TO YOUR BOOKING
Any changes to your booking once the deposit has been received will incur an amendment fee of $75.00. Bookings
changed within 60 days of departure will be subject to the $75.00 fee plus any additional charges levied by airlines,
hotels, ground operators.
CANCELLATION OF YOUR BOOKING
The reservations we make on your groups behalf are subject to cancellation fees from airlines, hotels, attractions, and
cruise companies etc, making it necessary to enforce strict cancellation policies. If you cancel a reservation prior to the
departure of your tour cancellation fees will apply.
Please note we strongly recommend you take out adequate travel insurance to cover you against these cancellation fees
in the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your participation on the tour.
INCLUDED IN YOUR TOUR PRICE
All travel, accommodation, sightseeing and meals as specified in your itinerary and on your confirmation letter.
NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR PRICE
Optional Touring, items of a personal nature including travel insurance, excess baggage, laundry, drinks, and personal
phone calls. Some cruise levies are not included.
PRICE
All holiday prices are based on rates known at time of printing. Prices are subject to increase without notice. If such rates
change prior to final payment date passengers will be advised of new tour price accordingly. Government / Airport tax
increases are beyond Travman Tours control.
INSURANCE
We strongly recommend you take out travel insurance to cover against illness or accident, cancellation, loss of luggage
etc. for all tours.
SINGLE TRAVELLERS
For those travelers requiring twin share, we will endeavor to match you with a travelling companion however if we are
unable to provide a companion for you to share with, a single supplement will apply.
CHANGES TO THE TOUR ITINERARY
Travman Tours reserves the right to alter or omit any part of the itinerary or change of reservation, features and or means
of conveyance without notice. Travman reserves the right to cancel the tour should it not reach minimum numbers and
clients will be notified prior to departure should this occur.
RESPONSIBILITY
Travman Tours does not accept liability for failure on the part of transportation companies, hotel contractors and other
principles whose responsibility is confined to their own operations. All ticket coupons and orders are furnished and issued
subject in all respects to those terms and conditions under which the means of transportation or other services provided
thereby are offered or supplied by owners, operators, public carriers, management agents or agents.
