This year, we will hold the endoscopy event together with the London Live Endoscopy (LLE)
course. Registered participants can observe the live procedures of the LLE on Thursday. On Friday
morning, an “International Symposium on Management of Colonic Polyps” will be transmitted
from both event locations, the University College London and the Endoscopy Centre of the UKA.
On Friday afternoon, participants will have the opportunity to switch between both locations de-
pending on their areas of interest.
If the restrictions imposed by the pandemic allow, we also intend a live endoscopy transmission Helmut Messmann Hans-Dieter Allescher
from Japan (Prof. Yahagi, Tokyo and Prof. Oyama, Nagano). And on Friday evening, we look forward
to the exciting program put together by the “Young Endoscopists” group.
On Saturday, we will critically analyse the cases which were presented on Friday. Our Endo-Update
lectures as well as Video-case sessions and Endo-Quiz from Japan will take place as usual. Due to
the amount of information we are presenting, Endo-Update 2020 will already commence on the
20th of November with an Olympus satellite symposium on “Optimal Diagnosis and Therapy in
upper and lower GI-neoplasia“. A further Olympus satellite symposium on “Artificial Intelligence
in GI endoscopy” will be transmitted during the Advent Season. Finally, our closing lectures on
Saturday will cover „COVID-19 and its impact on GI-endoscopy“.
